Thanks for the tuts man, I kinda got it.. I sent you a render I came up with, I did the spine with spline ik, and it came out alright, made a boxman ver of my own inspired by you of course... I am just getting some really weird rotation problems sometimes as im animating the goal.. its like the rotation of everything slightly goes off over time, when I use vibrate on the goals... Thanks Man!
If you set the curved spline to uniform in its object settings instead of adaptive the character while move at a more linear pace because the splines points will be evenly spaced where as an adaptive spline will focus most of its points in the curve areas, however when setting it to uniform you may want to up number setting beneath it to retain its smoothness. You probably still dont want to go too crazy with the curves but it should help.
You are my absolute hero! Amazing tutorial where I learned a whole bunch of stuff (well, pretty new in Cinema 4D so). You have a very cool style of teaching that makes it easy to follow and it doesn't get stale at all!
@alekstheman Glad you like the tutorials! I think I did do the part two a few months ago? I didn't use the same model but like I skinned and rigged a model like the one in that tutorial...hmm I'll check and make sure! And I'll finish this series too! ^ ^ Thanks for watching!
@ReyoriStrange Well I did two different walk cycles IK and FK...animated it along splines...and animated a little scene at the end too so if it was just one walk cycle the vid would only be 15 min but I figured more info is better eh? ^ ^
@mdotstrange Im wonderng, can you save and import the walk cycle? Like if you want your person to run but don't want to re-do the cycle, can you just import the animation and make him run/walk?
@timsons7777 Yeh thats what motion clips are for... you can save ANY animation you made and re-use it... I made a library of animations before I started my new film...so for runs/walks etc I just applied my clips I had already made

Can you teach us a way to do this NOT using cactus dan's tools, I cant afford them and when I try doing this by rotating joints. It doesn't work.
