that's something still under debate. according to many fans, yes, he is HRE.

Fans usually say that when he became Germany he lost his memory, he can't remember much of his childhood at all in the canon script.

Himaruya hasn't actually SAID anything about that, from what I hear he avoids the question every time someone asks him.

so who knows. there's a horrible amount of evidence that they're the same but hey :D

Though that's true of real life, I think that Squirrely's speaking more in a Hetalia context. Hetalia is not always completely historically accurate, and it's been confirmed that in modern strips Prussia is living with Germany anyway, so the idea that he became East Germany and then moved in with his brother when the country was reunified isn't entirely unreasonable, even if IRL people don't consider themselves belonging to the 'east' or 'west'. Not totally accurate, but maybe canon.

Not in the news nor in any speeches or in our daily life, kids until the age of 11/12 don't even know we were seperated once... just don't get the wrong idea about germans.

I love this video its so cute :D this is one of the best Germany/Prussia vids ive seen and im a HUGE fan. The only problem is that Prussia didnt exist at the time of the Berlin wall...it was abolished at a state by Hitler years before the wall went up. But its still a cute concept of them being separated and reunited. Im not saying the video needs to change(because I love it) im just stating a fact(a sad one at that :( )
