  • That thing is AWESOME! I like the wheel slip at the begining too. Sweet engine!

  • Ahh... Those miniature NYC Hudsons bring back the good old times, back when the big ones were running. :)

  • I wish the CACV in Milford, NY could get a locomotive like this. The train they have (built by the late Don Sullivan) has a Chevy gas engine running starter motors in each car that overheat quickly and last I knew it was parked until they can get funding to replace them.

  • Very awesome! Wish I could afford one, let alone a GS-4. Just great! But if you can, and the bug hits you, paint it back to black, an NYC hudson doesnt look right in green. o.O

  • why is the engine green

  • It was green when we bought it, maybe someday it will be black!

  • This is ALS right? Im going up the fall, i will haft to look out for this. Great engine and railroad!!

  • no daulph, ALS does not have a 15 inch gauge railroad. they only have 7 1/4 and gauge one.

but this is near ALS. right Kinsley?

  • It's gogeous. If I had one of those, I would probably model it after Southern Railroad #4501.

  • that i would love to see in 15 inch gauge and coal fired

  • Just curious, how much does a 15" gauge live steam locomotive would cost me from new?

  • alot more than you could afford, way up in the millions.

  • more like 50-100k depending on the size.

  • well i was only guessing i figured the bigger the engine the bigger the cost. but 50 to 100k is not too bad

  • Where about is this located?

  • Wow! Beautiful engine, nice clip!

  • That's one heck of an engine! Friend of mine has a 15 inch gauge Mogul. It's a blast to handle.
