It's terrible that he has a mental illness and either the family can't or wont stay by his side to make sure nothing happens. The fact that you can hear passengers clap when the officer took him off the train tell a story in its self. The fact that the glass rained down on both of them also tells that it wasn't done to hurt him. It's unfair to judge both incidents as the same. There are many people who are mentally ill who have been released into society who have no place to go.
