i dont understand why these high level thais are not more dynamic in the ring. Almost no combinations and only looking for counters they end up losing or having the match closer than it should. That is why buakaw was chosen over namsaknoi or others to fight in k1. His style is more aggressive n dynamic.
Thai fighters risk losing the edge to other foreigners in the 140-165lb class too now.
i understand that they subconciously are saving that energy for the all important an exhausting clinch but if they want to succed at the highest lvl they must understand that 1) the clinch is restricted n not that important abroad and 2) all that goofing around n trickery while an important part of thai judging is frowned upon abroad.
@kingstaffy yeah ? didnt see khem 'dominate' Petrosyan or Lamsongkran against Holzken, Petro vs Naruepol,Masato vs Kongnapa and Sakkadeow or Bovy getting KOed by the very same Pinca.....the list goes on, so learn your facts before hugging someone's nuts
@gameboy010203 im not hugging on any1 nuts. not every thai fighter u see is gonna be the best. there are heaps of fighters from thailand to choose,so just bcoz u see lamsongkram fighting foreigners doesnt mean hes the best from thailand.any1 can get ko'd in a fight,if u get lazy and drop ur hands,u can get ko'd from a punch or a kick, thats the fight game.not every 1 can have a perfect performance 100% of the time.the overal 140-150 div will have better quality thai fighters than foreigners
@kingstaffy lamsongkran may not be the best in THA but he is one of the best IN HIS DIVISION.
They arent any thai fighters in 140-150 (welterweight) that are dominant now. Yes , everybody wins some n lose some....so how can you say its the thais that are dominant.
@gameboy010203 for example, look at the weight division saenchai fights in. U could get top 10 ranked stadium fighters from thailand and on any given day, they could beat a top foreginer.they have so much range of fighters. foreginers mite only have a few big name fighters from that country, or from a particular weight division
@gameboy0102 Kem is a good fighter, on the other hand bovy and naruepol are getting sloppy so you cant really judge thai fighters by looking at them. The thai fighters that are worth looking at now are Saiyok Pumpanmuang, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee and Saenchai Sinbimuaythai. And its important to keep in mind that Thai fighters train their whole lives for 5x3 minute rounds whilst european fighters train for 3x3 minute rounds meaning they start of at a much higher pace...

lol...saenchai is a lightweight. He's a 125lb guy and sometimes fights at 130.
You were talking about 140-150.
