  • The soundtrack alone at 0:30 has blown me away. In Taoist philosophy an infant is considered the highest state of a human being and a child is the next. The aim to become a Buddha or an Immortal is to get back to this state and beyond to get rid of the cycle of birth and death once and for all. Having this being taken back to the monastery, all though very inspiring, shadows the true mind of Tao. The faith is very powerful in this movie and puts me to shame may the lamp of Buddha keeps shining!

  • The child is not being asked if he wants to leave his parents. the child is not being asked if he wants to have his hair cut. Resumed, lot's of brainwashing 'You are very obedient' It just doesn't look right to me.
