I mean, there will be like 2 DVI/VGA female plug (ports), and your screen only has one.

For SLI to work, you need 2 of the EXACT GPU's. But there are some motherboards out there that can handle two different graphics cards and still work with great performance. It appears that your motherboard will need two of the same exact graphics cards. So go grab yourself another EVGA 8800gt or two identical better ones.

he just suggested that you spend the money on two nvidia video cards so that you can get the best performance out of your machine yet he uses the drivers that come with the video cards which robs 25% (on average) of the power right out of your machine to begin with.. secondly you cant just place any two cards in a sli setup and have it be the best thing since slice bread. 2nd; YOU HAVE 2 AMD/ATI (Radeon) graph-cards and AMD (AM3 shipset) mother board. And thats mean you CAN do A CROSSFIRE with 2 5770.

ps: SLI and CROSSFIRE are same technlogies, SLI for NVIDIA and CROSSFIRE for AMD/ATI

your drivers only allow for one monitor to be used when sli is enabled. i couldn't have that so i got some multi monitor sil drivers. you can only use 2 monitors on the same card tho wile sli is enabled

@koto772 1st the motherboard has to support SLI. Then You HAVE to have 2 SLI NVIDA cards with the same GPU. Then you need the SLI cable to connect the 2 of them.

I've got 2 8800GTS cards, but my pc is only recognising one of them.

When I bought my pc they were working fine in SLI, no, I don't have an option for SLI. I've got the latest drivers. I've just tried uninstalling the one that it recognises. I've got an SLI motherboard and an SLI power supply and the bridge connector all connected up.

I've been running on just the one for a while now, but need more power for Bad Company 2.

Nothing works.

Check the video card box to see how much wattage it requires to run. If you don't have a good enough power supply, you will burn out you motherboard. 750W should be more than enough to run SLI by the way.

No, for SLI you need the same cards. Now with the new drivers you can use one dedicated card for physX and another for graphics rendering, for this setup you dont need the same cards.
