It's fun watching a genuine quick like Spencer bowling to Adrian Dale, perhaps the epitome of the part-time English slow medium bowlers. I remember watching this when I was much younger. Even aged 41, Viv was the king. How many batsmen half his age in this footage would go out without a helmet? As much as I love watching Lara, Viv has a magnetism I've not seen from any other batsman, Sehwag included.

@anthonyaduhene Whoever won this won the Sunday League. Viv finished 46 not out & Glamorgan won by 6 wkts. I was there (can see myself in the crowd!). This match had the best atmosphere of any I've been to & the Welsh fans were very welcome visitors. This spell won't be forgotten by anyone who saw it & Spencer's pace overcame some obvious problems with his line. Sadly, stress fractures ended his career before it started. I've seen many better known pace bowlers but few were close to this fast.
