Excuse me, I was just wondering why the tutorial isn't posted? I have noticed that some comments were made 2 years ago. We videographers are so appreciative when someone offers kindly help. Especially to new videographers. Will you not make your promise good? Please let us know when you will upload.
Can you please tell me how you got this clarity? Cause I have been using slow motion for a while and I always get the same thing. The image quality is all grainy and looks really low. Thanks.
@Bladmapples Hahaha. It seems as if this guy has suckered everyone into thinking he has messed with the settings of the CAMERA!!! HA! Search slow-motion plugins. You might be able to figure it out. :)
@TheConnorBerge I never said I messed with the actual settings to the camera, moron, so I suckered no one. I am almost finished with a tutorial on using plugins and interpolation for getting this effect in After Effects, as I stated in the description. So, next time, read before speaking, idiot.
The FX7 is an HDV camera right? As in it doesn't record on a memory stick? I'm really against memory stick cameras because I prefer having a tangible, physical tape that has all the film on it versus taking clips on and off a memory stick and having the chance of losing them forever (because obviously buying the same number of memory sticks as tapes would be pretty pricey).
excellent colors! hey i have 1 big cuestion: did you record in a memory stick? does it need a memory stick to record in HD? and if so, which one would you recommend? i want to buy a camera and im looking around to find a good one. thank you so so so much xD
@TheDerangedStudios may i get in on this tutorial too? I just purchased a sony fx7 but i can only bring it down to half speed and i want it to be like 10 % without motion blur etc.
This looks fantastic. I have an FX7 but I'm still definitely a beginning, and definitely learning how best to use it. What settings on the camera do you use? Any lenses? Post-shooting editing? The shot looks so professional, great color.
The FX1 does have XLR inputs. But you can buy an XLR adaptor from companies like Beachtek for around 200.00 retail (100.00 on ebay) and get the same camera with the FX7, which retails for around 2000.00. I hope this helps.
Amazing!!! could you kindly show us how you did this on Adobe After Effects CS4? could you post a tutorial. i'm considering buying this camera and i really want to learn how to use the slow motion properly. i hope you could post tutorial. Thanks

ok wait I'm new to this camera. So you didn't use the Smooth Slow Record? Did you just set the shutter really high and edit it in post? Then use a program such as after effects and use time re-mapping to slow it down? I'm trying to figure out this complicated but beautiful camera.
I am very curious how you did this. I have an FX7 as well and can't figure out how to replicate this level of slow motion with a standard HD clip. Was this all done in editing or did you adjust some settings on the camera as well?
The FX7 is the better camera, in my opinion. It is $1999 and is the newer model with a lot of things fixed. But, the FX1 is $3699 and is the older, bigger brother to the FX7. The greatest advantage of the FX1 is XLR inputs for mics vs the stereo mini for the FX7. I still choose the FX7. Hope this helps..

Let me guess:
60i to 60p (transforming each field into a separate frame) then conform to 24p.
Clever indeed.
I'm a proud owner of a FX7, used this camera to learn the craft.

@ImpagliazzoBR Wrong. It is still interlaced. lol I will upload a tutorial soon.

Did you just set your shutter speed to a high level in order to achieve this slow motion effect? If so, how high?
BDLang464 2 years ago
@BDLang464 my shutter was 1/100.

@TheDerangedStudios would you have a link on how to achieve this HD slow motion?
