I love Nick and I know he's fantastic singer (through seeing him live a bunch of times & following his career for over 10 years), but this is not his best performance. I kind of cringed at certain parts TBH. He's much better at hitting the high notes when he sings the national anthem with BSB. Then again, this took place several years ago and he's learned to control his voice so much better now. This performance does not showcase his singing ability at all.

Not defending him, but the Star Spangled Banner is NOT easy to sing. It's rythm and meter are irregular and an octave range is tough, even for practiced musicians. But he is rough on this.
