@texuxi if you are in the market for a good usb wifi card.. Fuck atheros.. Go get an ALFA AWUS036H USB.. The range is sick and the injection rate is quite nice and you can pick one up for about $35.. Not to mention drivers are preinstalled on backtrack4

airmon-ng start wifi0 create wlan0 and are the driver you will use, its the same as athX just another brand of cards...

if you type airmon-ng ... again it will create you wlan1 and so on...

I use only one wifi nic to capturere and the injections. In this tutorial you do see aht0 and ath1, well these is virtual wifis.

if you want to kill a virtual wifi, just type:

wlanconfig ath0 destroy

I should have done that before I made the capture, sorry for that miss that can cause confuses.

The airmon-ng tutorials on main website suck. this is better and at least gives u a visual start.

1. Don't go to the AirCrack website.

2. Don't try to install the file you got from the AirCrack website.

3. From your Ubuntu Desktop, go to System > Administration > Synaptic Package Manager

4. Click Search, then type in "aircrack"

5. Click the checkbox next to "aircrack-ng"

6. Click the Apply button

7. Wait for Ubuntu to download and install AirCrack automatically for you

8. Look for the AirCrack icon under Applications > Internet

9. ???

10. Profit!
