  • ty

    that helped me

  • What screen recorder did you use? I really need one. Mines bad and makes my videos very low quality. Thanks!

  • can't tell, maybe camtasia studio.

  • You can too make any YouTube video High Quality. Just add &fmt=18 to the end of the url

  • If this doesn't work it's because it's your machine! It's amazing how many people with badly set up computers blame the video not their set-up.

If you don't know how to get the best from your PC I'd suggest you buy a Mac and then you don't have to bother.

  • hey buddy i don like the new view for either SL or here sorry mate just wanted to put my opinion

  • just add &fmt=18 at the end of URL

  • fmt&=18 actually doesn't make it better it just make better sound quality

  • Not all videos plays in high quality, simply add &fmt=18 to the URL bar.

  • yeah, I've been using this &fmt=18 technique for ages and it does work :), it changes the format to MP4

  • I only knew how to click the "watch in high quality" button. Thanks for teaching me how to do it aqll the time! ^_^

But what if there's a video that's not high quality and I search for it. Will it just goto the normal quality it would be, or would I not be able to watch it?

  • I would expect the YT developers to have accounted for this scenario. If they haven't, well it's a tad embarrassing for them. So I think it will just default to normal quality if high quality is unavailable, but I have yet to consciously verify this. :)

  • Questions like this can be answered by reading carefully; option 3 (as in the video at 1:29) has 3 additional words sticking out — "when it's available". So YouTube has already tried to answer this.

Just to confirm it though — yes, watching such videos works fine, just how you hoped.
