I have not seen this show in 30 or so years. It blows me away how far ahead of it's time it was dealing with remote servers/hacking and how I thoroughly enjoyed watching again. Throw in some dry Brit humor and the rest is history; instant clasic. Sorry trekies but you lose, even in Klingon.Speaking of Klingongs I thought they were a reference to 70's track pants not a feared race in need of a shot of Botox.
I think in this episode of B7 arch enemy Servalan, was starting to get more and more popular as a character and starting to become more and more involved in the action . By series 3 Servalan was a major part of the show, and was also given a new spaceship a starcruiser whcih was gray and organic looking in shape.Servalan no longer had a regular sidekick after Travis, was shot to death at the end of series 2, I think she worked better in series 3 and 4 with different sidekicks in each episode.
I never missed an episode of Blakes 7. Its is the best thing to come out of Great Britain. Back in my Uni days, I use to make up any excuse to watch Blake's 7 rather than go out. Well done BBC and cast.
Blakes 7 is still worthy watching today, in same vain as Hogans Heroes, whose humour is still funny 40 years on
Ah. Watch this video, and wait until the end titles sequence. At around 4:00, you will hear a distinctly non-British voice jabbering something awful about Microwaveable ice cream sundaes, in effect soiling Dudley Simpson's wonderful score. Obviously taped from an American broadcast of B7.
Classic cliffhanger. Watching this as a series finale for the first time, you'd have no idea whether Liberator just blew up, or whether we saw the prediction only.
I'd've asked for my 1000 million credits back; an omniscient computer that has no clue about common figures of speech such as 'shut up'? Cheers for posting. Really enjoyed it.
The question of the seventh crew member was resolved in the episode "Time squad"(episode 4). That was before Orac was collected in episode 13, so it couldnt be Orac. So it was Zen......Blake, Avon, Vila, Jenna, Cally, Gan and Zen. Avon was reluctant to call Zen a member of the crew...and Blake said " What do you say to that Zen?" to which Zen replied:"Please state course and speed". I always enviied Peter Tuddenhams job....he had it easy-didnt even have to muck around with make-up or costumes!
Or was Orac really predicting the eventual destruction of the Liberator in "Terminal"? That's what I thought when I first saw this episode (no,I don't have eerie powers of prescience, I saw Season 3 before Season 1).
Really obnoxious and so condescending. No way would I ever let a plastic box talk to me that way. He reminded me both of that Dr. Whatever computer that the android carried around on BUCK ROGERS and of a dry aquarium full of Christmas lights and random bits of plastic stuff.
I used to wonder about the number 7. There were only 6 human characters about the Liberator, including Blake. So who was the 7th? Was it Orac, or was it supposed to be the Liberator itself?
So the internet doesn't weigh much after all.

Would like to see K9 and Orac meet.Course Orac would say "you are attempting to overide a superior System,Be Silent".Just like he did with Slave.

Sorry! Typo.I obviously meant Blakes not Balkes.I should have took typing in High School instead of a 3rd year of Spanish.

The BBC started the season ending cliffhanger with Balkes 7 long before CBS started it with Dallas in 1980

Microwaveable ice cream sundaes?
Must american television fornicate copiously with anything it can get it's greasy paws on?
WorldVideophone 2 years ago
This is a British show not American , please don't insult us.
MyMerlin1 2 years ago
Yes, I gathered as much, producing the fan series 5 and all. Though I do think I didn't actually say anything about the British, did I?
WorldVideophone 2 years ago
Why did you say American ?

Yes your right , sorry about that.

@WorldVideophone
Yes, this was recorded -- illegally, I admit -- from a television station in Boston years ago.

@jlmww How do you mean "illegally"? What's "illegal" about tape-recording stuff from the TV?

Cally or Jenna?

Cally. I always thought Jenna was a bit too 1977 for my taste.

@jlmww You know what's funny? Jenna is the only crewmemeber who does not get a kiss during her time on the Liberator.

Yeah, such a great premise: political prisoners and criminals on the run.
It's beyond improbable that such people would just happen upon the fastest ship in the galaxy, but everything together made for a great story.

No. He only predicted what happened in the next episode. This ship was not the Liberator.

Blakes, Jenna, Avon, Vila, Cally, Gan, Zen, and then Orac when Gan left.
