  • Looks like Beatlejuice from at 2:39

  • just like talking heads !

  • everything Mick does he does it his way, check out the way he starts jump/running …got tired just watching him!

  • I think this music and this music video is so funny and nice, I don't get why people hate on it so much.

  • An excelent idea.

  • Whot? Keith, Keith, I think Mick's taken something and is out running on the highway. Oh, what the fuck, let's get out there and join him...

  • Beats the Occupy song: Let's Whine.

  • Yes, this is a good one from Mick! Pitty there isn't much work in the world at the moment though.

  • i hate this vidio also bad song

  • I'm guessing Mick had been nosing around Keith's stash when he agreed to do this song.

  • @dannymorose1 So do you for not spelling his name right...

  • Crap-tastic .

  • Without a doubt, the finest piece of pop songwriting in the last century. This song will go down in history as one of the Western world's greatest classics.

  • @LAballin24 are you kidding?

  • Nobody got hurt in the video!

  • Wow. Totally idiotic!

  • Shame that the woman in the hospital scrubs to Mick's left at around the 1.00 mark hadn't stumbled and plunged the knife she's holding into his back. I reckon he put this out because he felt service was slipping when he went out to spend his hard-earned fortune and he wanted the world's servants to buck their ideas up and work harder. This is after basing the Jagger persona on being a bad hard-drugging anti-establishment devilish phucker, and influencing a generation to get wasted and drop out.

  • @mitreswell

    oooo

    somebody got issues

"knife in the back", "influencing generation to get wasted" as if generations didn't get wasted by themselves before he was born and won't do the same when he'll die. as for "phucking" if he works half that hard in bed as on his singing/performance then the audience has nothing to complain about. unless they are just lazy. and deaf. no, i'm not attracted to Sir Jagger - it would be the same as to be attracted to mother figure thank you very much.

  • multi millionaire telling people to work and 'the world dont owe you' patronising cunt

  • Awesome..... I finally had one of those acid flashbacks they promised me!!!!!

    oh wait.

  • Mick Jagger, what an utter, utter, utter see you next Tuesday.

  • total fucking car crash. it is clear from this document alone that Keef was right about EVERYTHING.

  • Mick has always been like fit, haha that preacher fell in this.

  • Mick hit #39 in Billboard, 10-24-87. God bless y, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Man this song sucks!

  • I actually like it. It's a strange song I admit that :)

  • background is the NewYorkState Thruway in Yonkers...the bronx then Manhattan

  • I actually went to this video shoot when I was like 12 years old...I think it was in like 89 or something. Me, my sister and my mom were all in the video - Mick was AWESOME and took a kick as picture with my sister and was really nice to all of us...I'm at 2:58 - The paper-boy!

  • @jscalice292 that is so cool!

  • @jscalice292 Nice Job!!! way to go paper boy!!!!!!!! lol

  • @jscalice292 It was 1987, so maybe you were 10?

  • @jscalice292 in the US? i thought this was Rio.

  • @jscalice292 It would have been 1987, when the Primitive Cool album was released. You lucky thing!

  • Man and woman!!!

  • Sounds like a tory cookie monster!

  • micky on a coke rush!

  • haha! Hi to u tooo!

  • Fucking Love the stones but this is fucking horrible Keiths Take It So Hard is superior Rock And Roll this is dated dross.

  • NO SITTIN DOWN ON YOUR BUTT......THE WORLD DONT OWE YOU......so true in todays world!!!

  • a song that only a Republican or a Tory could love. this song's lyrics are a zillion times more offensive than anything Eminem has ever written.

  • @tsartodd you must be lazy

  • LOVEIT !!

  • people did so much coke in the eighties they forgot what sounds good

  • @cultfilmfreak hah, good call

  • The video may be rubbish but the song's great. Jeff Beck and Simon Phillips reunited.

  • i'm stoned and i still hate this

  • @yordicus you don't know what good music is.

  • What a piece of Thatcherite cock-whimsy, love the midget at 3:29, oh the state won't carry him, he's going to work. Killllllllll Poooooooooooooverty!

  • lalalalalala....lalalala la ?

  • Great message in this. A salute to working.

  • I think this video is great fun.

  • I think John Lennor or Paul McCartney at their absolute worst were still light years better than this. I remember when this came out. Sound much worse with age. Mick, stick to Gimme Shelter, et als.

  • @JockoJohnson666 ..... Lennon and McCartney could never get over themselves enough to have a bit of Fun.. The Beetles were the biggest Hoax ever perpetrated. They produced crap during a time when Experimental was celebrated. I wish they WERE alive.. just so they could have proven they had no Legs, no lasting talent.

  • I stand corrected, even the worst Ringo effort is better than this poor excuse for a tune. Heck, I think it's fair to say that even the worst Ringo CD is still better than the entire solo Stones collective output, sans maybe that one Ron Wood record. Keith wanted to throw a beating on Mick for this. Nuff said right there.

  • @JockoJohnson666 fuck you!

  • this song isn't too bad. the stones stuff sounds the same after a while.

i think he was trying to be Paul simon.

it would be great if Mick jagger wasn;t singing in it.

  • Corny video but I have to agree with Mick. Lets work, lets work, lets work! We were designed for it. Not for sitting down on ur but or makin enemies. Too many people think that they will get rich with get rich quick schemes and won't have to work and miss the fact that work is good for you. Even God worked for 6 days and then rested on the 7th. Change ur attitude and be a blessing to others and not just ur self. Can you agree?

  • Jesus keiths right. This guy really did lose touch with reality. He didnt wanna be "pigeonhold" as just being in the Rolling Stones and this is what he comes out with? He had to be doing massive amounts of drugs to think this is good.

  • Mick, with this solo project, you made a fool out of yourself; Keith Richards was justified in being upset with you for this. The video was cheesy, and not to the standards we would expect from the leader of The Rolling Stones. Don't ever do something like THIS ever again. OK?

  • i love ya mick ,but what an embarrasment.no wonder kieth is pissed.

  • Yo.... what the fuck is wrong with Mick? Gimmie Shelter ------> Lets Work? Does not compute.

  • R U kidding me? this shit sucks so bad Kieth must have wanted 2 kill him over it. This just go's 2 show mick can't be a solo artist. Asuch as I love him with the Stones (where he belongs) I loath him 4 making shit like this. Kieth is a much better solo artist than Mick. Mick tries to do pop bullshit and catch up with the young bucks. I dont know why. Stick 2 what u do best, The Stones! Solo artist is just not in the cards 4 Mick. and thank god 4 that!

  • Ya know, for all of the shit I've heard about "Let's Work" and Primitive Cool over the years, this song really isn't that bad.

  • get down in the dirt

  • In this new year, let's all remember to work.

  • LOL The Butcher with the pork XD

  • my history teacher is the second from the left fireman right before the naked indian comes runnin out :D

  • To this day this video remain one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen. Almost thirty years have passed and Mick still makes me laugh out loud.

By the day, the tune sounds suspiciously similar to Springsteen's 'Glory Days'.

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 i agree, i thought about glory days too, a little. both good songs though :P

  • my god been trying to find this song for years!!! remembered the video clip thank jebus for internet!!

  • :s what the fuck is it

  • let's dance and fun!

  • when I first saw this video I cringed...., I still do, some one had to tell him after this to go back to the Stones and get on with it with the boys.

  • Love the song and the video.

    Except for the dangling pig.

Let's work for a little more respect of animals !

  • I Love This Mick Jagger 1987 Music Video, "Let's Work," Which Became A Top 10 Rock Hit In America.

  • i like the special effects.

  • this is a disgrace

  • This is a great song and video with a great message. A lot of people don't realise it, but music is a hard business that takes 100% of your dedication in order to succeed. Of course, there are always flash-in-the-pan artists but for those with any real longevity in the business, they work their asses off to achieve the success they have.

Another good song/video like this is "It's a Long Way to the Top If You Wanna Rock 'n Roll" by AC/DC. Same message and theme, basically.

  • the video sucks but i like the song

  • He deserved to lose royalties for pissing on the Rolling Stones' legacy with this. A song and video combination to make you wish you were Helen Keller.

  • I feel like I'm watching Blue Clues or Teletubbies or something .... wtf.

  • I remember when this song came out. It was 1987-88, and I was in elementary school.

No, I didn't know who this guy was back then. Also in '87-'88, there was another interesting song called "I Got My Mind Set On You." And no, I didn't know who that singer was. :-)

  • @ultraback29

It was George Harrison (R.I.P.) - former Beatle - who performed "I've Got My Mind Set On You."

  • Hit #7 rock, #39 pop in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in the UK? God bless!

  • what the heck was that????WHAT WAS HE THINKING

  • @Lovin420forLife mick jagger acually hates this music video as well.

  • Has the same begginnings to Phil Collins Take Me Home and OMD Dead or Alive.

  • Sorry... its Forever Live and Die.

  • Best Mick Jagger song of all time by far!!! :-)

  • Ya gotta love Mick

  • great song, legendary even..

    THUMBS UP EVERYONE !!!!!

  • shit sandwich

  • love it, though corny

  • This is a lot different than Paint it Black, huh? LOL

  • I think there's a song that the Beatles did where the backup singers sound like they're singing that song, especially the end. Can anyone find it?

  • Great song, great voice... and great videoclip too !

    Regards from France

  • super bizarre jajajaja i love it.look at the man with the pork hanging, hahahah and the little midget..i love this song and jagger.

  • hit only #39 in Billboard. Thought it would've charted higher in the US. How'd it do for Mick in the UK?

  • I love the Stones, but both Mick and Keith had terrible solo projects!

  • @filmranger Not so, man!

  • I remember when this came out in 1987. Loved it then and still do.

  • good message !!

  • Everyone in a big race, I love this video

  • wtf is this

  • Great song and he was totally fit.

  • He's been in good shape for a long time. He was never the big drug addict boozer or even smokes.
