Good heavens. Fisher in his prime had a magnificent voice, damn near operatic. Arguably better than at least a few of his competitors, like Vic Damone, Tony Bennett, Don Cornell, maybe even Sinatra. The voice sails forth freely, with effortless transitions between head and chest voice, while retaining handsome, virile tone --
Since I joined YT I have been searching for this record by Eddie Fisher and it seemed everything but this one. It is my all time favourite of his and takes me back to early teens when it was a really big hit for him and I so loved it and his voice. The high start was a wow. Wonderful tune and words, complete romance. Thank yo so much this is what YT is all about.

One of Eddie's best.Yet that's tough to say, since every one of his recordings was top notch.

If that guy had only lived as well as he sang. Marvelously gifted, he threw it all away, A shame to have that level of talent, and squander it.

Thank you for sharing this delectable post. This is a favourite of mine and it is now a very worthy addition to my E.F. "playlist".
