That isn't stereotypes, that's prejudice. Stereotypes are fine in themselves, in fact they're actually survival mechanisms. It's when you act on these stereotypes that it becomes prejudice or discrimination where it is wrong. I'm stereotypical in the way I reason, and it helps me, but I never ever tell anyone they can't do something on the basis of their race or sex.

Women are, for example, more people orientated while men are more machine orientated. There are exceptions yes, but these are pretty clear generalisations.

It's when you act on these stereotypes that it becomes prejudice or discrimination where it is wrong. I'm stereotypical in the way I reason, and it helps me, but I never ever tell anyone they can't do something on the basis of their race or sex.

The differences don't mean much...... seeing as we are socialized to behave a certain way based on our genders from infancy. We are also taught which parts of the brain to develop based on gender (girls are given baby dolls, boys are given machinery).
The brain is plastic. The brain is a remarkable organ and IS specific to each person, like fingerprints.

A few days ago I was reading an article in TIME Mag. called "The Boy Crisis". It was saying that since the late 1960's up into the mid 90's that girls on average had BETTER grades than boys.

Women are gender driven, everything evolves around their gender first. Women dont get paid less, those studies are flawed.
When you compare apples to apples women that didnt take time off for child birth, have the same education etc etc the pay is the same. Why would a women get a promotion when she spent 3 months of the past year "recovering" from child birth while all the man had to pick up HER workload. Of course he'd get the promtion, he did more work!
