this is a serious issue... there has to be a way to sikhs to educate west about how to differetiate between an arab and sikh.... cause we might not like to hear it but this USA vs Islam thing is going long way... and something serious is about to come for sure and sikhs have to somehow establish their unique identity.. just cause its calm right now, please dont ignore it... i can get dangerous anytime thanks to countries like pakistan... please start some awareness movement...

an example of the situation here is, say you are swimming in the sea and a shark strikes you and takes a bite of you, what will be your reaction the next moment if a dolphin comes may be to save you, its natural that you will kick it away in panic and run or if you are brave you will attack it, this is how confused the Americans are after the 9/11 incident, not to be surprised there are illiterate uneducated Americans just as we have village idiots in our own countries who are on the dumb role.

The problem here is the look alike, very bad situation. I feel sad for sikhs but cannot help it. I have had hate situations with some sikhs because they think all south Indian blacks are robbers or village idiots and zero in computers, they act like modern hypes, which court can I go to? No point seeking justice in court or any govt order coz I belong to the native Indian tribe and will only be tricked into believing that Im getting justice, you in America are lucky at least someone heard you.

This is why I support learning a low-impact, low-harm and practical self-defensive art, such as jujitsu or hapkido, or even some simple grappling moves. An art that's easy to control and won't result in death or broken bones. We must be peaceful, but we should also be able to defend ourselves. And we should NEVER use the kirpan as a weapon. Gatka is beautiful but not at all practical. If awareness and education isn't working, we should learn how to protect ourselves w/o causing severe injury..

Yeah, I wrote that comment with good intentions but without proper education on the subject. I now understand that the kirpan is a weapon, albeit a last resort, and that Shastar Vidya is a pretty awesome art form that uses both weapons and hand-to-hand combat. Also, I think aikido would have been a better example to use, instead of jujitsu or hapkido. Lol.

People are against SIKH'S because they are taking us the wrong way. We are very peaceful. But when treated wrongly...The Pain stabs our hearts like 7 million swords stabbing us. We the Sikh Community just want Equality with everyone and love each other...I personally have experienced so much horrible things ....Guru di so....1984...My dad was almost killed by the Indian Army....But we are finally living in love...I'm glad cause i have a father.
