This song is fucking GODLY, epic even by epic metal standards. The anime kinda ruins it, though - mostly the part with the whining kid being stabbed. I watched the first two or three episodes, and I understand the premise. Whether I watched the anime and liked or disliked it, however, has no impact on the fact that the whining child (I admit to being bothered by such things) ruins Vibeke Stene's beautiful operatic passage - and the overall epicness of the song, which has to do with the apocalypse, not children murdering each other.
