This is post-pop with a slight hint of french house and techno music, you can clearly hear the influence of pre-Division Bell Pink Floyd mixed with african rhythms and asian harmony, not to mention aztec ritual sounds and kangaroo's mating howl.

Seriously, why would you care? If you ask the guy in Four Tet what genre is this, he would probably say he doesn't know and that he doesn't care.

Listen to Inner City or any of the mid 80's Chicago House stuff and you will hear the influence... the sampling, the tempo! the four on the flour dance groove... This is HOUSE MUSIC, and great house music at that. Four Tet's take on house is wonderful.
