  • Sorry to bother your best intentions, but this was when I bought this car... I think my other video "Golf GTI 1.8 Turbo 0-250" may answer your doubt by itself... ...Inlet Pipe + DownPipe + Intercooler + Chip... but turbo stills the stock one...

  • Hi! 1.6 bar max boost and 1.1 bar, stabilize boost.

  • take mine over that all the time. Did see 245 km/hr once, years ago and never since. Have had the mechanics ask me if I've got a chip in mine, and nope. Just a good 2002 1.8T and a heavy foot that the engine seems to like. :)

  • Hi! In this video (0 to 215 Km/h) my car was a stock 180 Hp (k03s turbo), with an ECU upgrade to 220 Hp. (So, we can say it was a 220 Hp car!)

  • Mitzplyc: it's about your comment added year ago. YES in Europe is 180KM Version of 1.8T. It has 235Nm Torque, it was produced from 2001 to 2003 and the engine signature is AUQ. The same engine but with different equipment has been attached in Audi TT 8N (1998-2006).

  • sorry my engine man light comes on every now and then dont know y its a 1.8 turbo golf on a x plate

  • mine is stock. no modifications. 1.8T 150 PS. in 5th gear it topped at 215 below 6000 rpm. the specs say that the top speed is 218. it's pretty good for a 10 yo car.

  • mine topped between 210 and 220 below 6000 rpm.

  • Hi! Sorry... I didn't understand! Do you mean your GTI, using 4th gear, runs between 210 and 220 below 6000 rpm, or you're talking about your top velocity, using 5th gear?

    I made some mods in dezember: DownPipe 3", no catalytic converter, Forge USMIC, APR Inlet hose, APR R1 Diverter Valve, APR Throttle hose. Turbo max pressure = 1,6; Stabilize pressure = 1,0 Watch my other video: GTI 0 to 250 Km/h!

  • is this 180 bhp standard (AE and then mapped) or did you map it to 180 bhp from 150? because my a3 is just over 180 bhp and isnt as fast as that yes i had a passenger and its a heavier car and i wasnt pushing it straight to the limit like u but DAMN that was fast!

    Mine is 180 bhp standard, and then mapped! I think the weight is almost the same: brazilian GTI MKIV 2005 180 bhp is a 1330 Kg car! Try to push your to the limit, without passengers!! I think it will do better!!!

    On the other hand, congratulations! You have a real race machine! Driving a SL AMG 6.3 you will never think that a GTI is fast...

  • your gti is very quick mate, but have you not seen the FN2 mugen Civic type r? 2.0 i vtec, 10,000rpm, very smooth engine, incredible. Search 'mugen civic rr' - i'm a total vw nutter, but had to take the challenge and list a civic that would be as quick =]

    But mugen civic rr is a totally modified race machine! My car only has two simple mods: I changed the coil springs and recalibrated the engine management (I didn´t change the turbo!) We can´t compare my GTI, the way it is, with a completely modified civic: mugen rr!

    I have no doubts that mugen is a fantastic amazing race machine!! If it come to Brazil, I would buy one! I checked the official mugen site... ...fantastic!

    yeah, i'd love one, but i don't think they're worth the extra over the FN2. Apparently the suspension is seriously stiff as well.

    If you buy the 1.8t, oettinger seems able to perform good mods! But I found something strange: GTI 180 Hp (K03s turbo) doesn´t exist in Europe? I only found in oettinger´s site the 150 Hp GTI (K03 turbo)

    Eu estava de cinto!

    Aquela luz amarela, acesa no painel, é para indicar que eu havia desligado o "ESP" - Eletronic Stability Program. É um botão no console central por meio do qual você habilita - ou desabilita - os controles de tração + estabilidade.

  • o que vc fez p/ o motor desse carro dar tanto rpm assim? ele chega nos 7000 rpm, num ta original né?

  • O hardware do Chip não está original; o resto, inclusive rodas e pneus, ainda são os "de fábrica". A modificação no Chip alterou basicamente tempo de injeção, pressão de turbina e rotação de corte de giro! Como as primeiras marchas são meio "longas", dou mais "giro" na 1ª e na 2ª -7.000 rpm - para já entrar em "rotação ótima" na próxima marcha. Mas repare que só estico a 3ª até uns 6.500 e a 4ª até cerca de 6.300 rpm! Mas só faço isso às vezes e só entra Pódium no tanque!! Abraço!

    Sou da sua cidade e conheço esta pista. Acaba em "T", certo? Pista quase plana, mas alterna trechos de pequenas retas e suaves subidas e descidas. Deve ter "bombado" de uns 180 para 210 na "subidinha", certo??

  • Exatamente essa pista e alteração apenas no chip!

    Se não me engano,foi de uns 175 até pouco acima de 210 Km/h nessa "suave subida". Perto de 215,a inclinação da pista muda: suave descida. Porém, o "ponto de frenagem" já é "iminente", haja vista o término da pista. Acho que daria para continuar pisado por cerca de mais 2s, antes de freiar... mas não creio que o risco valha a pena: deixo sobrar uns 300 m de pista; e 215 Km/h = 60 m/s. 2s custariam 120 m: sobrariam apenas 180 m para parar.

  • Já comprei ele assim. Mas liguei para o preparador e, segundo ele, chip atualizado pelo software da Reiko: pico de 1,3; estabiliza em 1,0. A turbina é a original. Quero colocar um sistema que pulverize água nas aletas do intercooler - conhece algum? Acho que o intercooler original não está dando conta. Assisti ao seu vídeo, carro forte!! Seu A3T está rodando com alcool ou vc está pulverizando alcool na admissão, para resfriar a mistura?? Qto de pico e estabiliza em qto?

  • SE dirigir devagar, seguindo o fluxo normal do trânsito, consegue fazer entre 9,5 e 10,5 Km/l, aqui em Brasília, onde a média tende a ser parecida com média de estrada. Do modo como ando normalmente, a média - do tanque - fica entre 6,8 e 7,2 Km/l. Porém, se for um dia "animado" e for andar mais "no grau", o pico de consumo chega a 2,0 Km/l, e a média fica entre 5,0 e 5,5 Km/l. Com certeza dói no bolso, mas a diversão compensa!
