The number 4 is taboo in Japan, since the pronouciation "4" in Janapese "shi" is the same as the word that means "death".
Anyway, I don't know if chinese think number 4 as taboo or not.

Japan and Korea share the same culture as the Chinese. The 4 is pronounced as "si" aka "dead". This is recognized by the three nations.

Lets see... I've not seen any evidence of a Mazda1 OR a Mazda4. Why is that?
