  • Jamal says run rocket ripper run and he actually responds to that name and turns around like a fool lmaoooo!!!

  • @GangstaBigBirdd Did you leave bro?

  • Enter Officer Larry from Perfect Strangers. Sadly a scene was cut where Bronson Pinchot plays his whacky partner with a funny accent

  • If that video game made those kids steal quarters...just imagine if they had GTA3 to play, and what that game would have made them do.

  • Did Jamal just say "I don't care how fucked up the Thabto's are..."?

  • hey davin! what do you think the Thabto's punishments were ? my guess was they were all grounded for a couple months, and banned from the arcade and after school community service. What do you think ?

  • one question...from where the hell is that ghost writer coming from and what business he has to do by caring and telling about the thabtos ?? loll this is lame

  • @GangstaBigBirdd its NYC...paper route?

  • is it just me or does Jamal sound like a grown man?

  • ghostwriter rock.

  • You might not find an arcade like the one shown here in New York today because one NY City had made it illegal and of course we can now play games on our own computers

  • I guess thabtos finally met thier perfect stranger and they thought nothing was gonna stop me now.

  • the policeman is Larry Appleton from Perfect Strangers, Balki's cousin!! jejejeje

  • his jacket has door hinges on it?

  • that cop was cousin larry from "Perfect Strangers"!!!!

  • I look back on shows that I watched when I was growing up, such as "Ghostwriter", "Full House", "Square One TV", & "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?", and realize that they were pretty cheesy, but it's good to reflect on childhood memories from time to time.

  • @Herbalaussie But 16 years later when you look back, as cheesy as those shows were, each show taught kids something different. Ghostwriter taught kids how to read and write. Square One taught kids math. Carmen Sandiego taught kids world geography. Look at shows nowadays. What does Spongebob teach kids? Absolutely nothing. I consider myself really fortunate to have grown up in the early 90's. Hell, thanks to an childhood obsession with Carmen Sandiego, I can now name every country and capital.

  • @DukeDarkshadow You're right. They did serve a purpose other than just for mere entertainment. I miss those days sometimes.

  • @DukeDarkshadow Spongebob Sqaurepants taught one kid how to do the Heimlich Maneuver and another how to dial 911 (in the US) for an emergency.

However, Ghostwriter, Square One & Carmen Sandiego were shows that were produced to teach specific things to kids - shows like Spongebob are cartoons, with no actual educational agenda. The cartoons are just for entertainment - even tho sometimes a kid can learn something.

  • Hey kaysmac1106: Spoken like an arrogant American, how typical.

  • Thats cool, I'm from england.

  • They had the best gang though, secret messages and all of that YAY :)

  • 5:17 papa will beat us if we dont get to it?

  • @joeyross44 "Would be on us" Like scold them

  • COUSIN LARRY!!

  • It was called Ghostwriter over here in Canada. And this is not a show I would really categorize as ghost story, cause they were never even scary!!

  • It was called Ghostwriter in the U.S too. Ghost story was just the name of the episodes.

  • @thesix107 No this is an arc's name, there are 18 arcs in Ghoswriter, each has like 4 episodes or 5. :)

  • canada sucks!!!

  • So does your mom! :O

  • Yeah... Se's a whore. eh

  • I always liked Jamal's room... I need it...

  • thats the same room from smart guy

  • Dan and his buddies aren't very intimidating without their costumes, are they?

  • "Cosin Larry" to the rescue!!!!

  • teeny bopper mosh pit @ 4:10

    i still remmever..

  • then you would remember that it was on pbs from 92 to 95.

  • lol dam nerds makin up gangs and stuff after an arcade tournament? lol

  • They are not nerds...they are geeks. Nerds become rich like Bill Gates, Geeks end up selling shoes in the mall with the high school football players.

  • thabtos are role players lol

  • Even worse. they are LARPers

  • Lightningbolt them!

  • lol LIGHTNING BOLT! SLEEP! DEATH! *clapclapclap*

  • rofl

you have just pwned thabtos with that my friend

  • ahahaha!

    i love jamal's attitude xD

  • 5:16 "Papa will beat us if we don't get to it." ??

  • be in us I think

  • haahha now i want to watch Perfect Strangers,

looked like them kids was gonna whoop some thabto ass huh? When we was lil we wouldve backbacked their asses

  • cousin Larry!

  • Haha it was just like dateline to catch a predator. They acted like they could leave and the police ambushed them on the way out

  • Ironically the next episode is titled To Catch A Creep

  • No after this came who burned Mr. Brinkers store which apparently was going to be a the pilot but at the last moment they decided to open it up more and do ghost story

    ( source wikipedia)

  • Mark Linn-Baker!??!?! lol, that makes me happy.

  • With our quarters by our side? Really? They couldn't think of anything better?

  • ''man i need my 5 bucks form dad back" hahahHAHAHAHAHA lolzZ

  • "Yay! I'm getting my 75 cents back from the bad guys!"

  • All of this just to practice for a video game?

Sheesh, the THABTOS need to get a grip.

  • yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, moneeeeyyy!

  • that cop is off of perfect strangers

  • yep, that's mark linn-baker

  • you'd think with as many times as they were in that arcade they'd notice the huge flashing "THABTOS" above the Double Defenders game when those kids were playing.

  • Why did those kids admit to the cops they stole the money? There was no concrete evidence it was them yet.

  • One of the girls recognized one of them. Plus, Alex saw their faces. AND need I mention that one of them responded to Rocket Ripper. Dude, pay attention or you're gonna miss a lot. NO offense.

  • NO OFFENSE, but two kids saying they recognized someone's face is hardly concrete evidence. How are we to trust what they saw? And responding to a video character name "Rocket Ripper" is hardly proof. When you come back with facts, I'll be waiting.

  • Good points. When police put a case together, they need concrete evidence, not just word of mouth and people can identify the wrong person in a line up

  • Well those kids did confess anyway.....

  • Like Martin Lawrence said on his show "Martin", come on man, "This is TeeVee"!!!

  • @davinp Good points even if the police had no case they pretty much got put to shame in the arcade.

  • Alright then, what do YOU suggest is concrete evidence?

  • I think it's just because it was just a simpler time. Like when the villain in Scooby Doo goes "If it weren't for those meddling kids" all the time.

  • I think that the point we are missing is that this is an educational show for kids, and that the producers/writers wanted to teach kids that even if they do something very wrong they should tell the truth. It seems that in this situation, the THABTOs felt ganged up on and were forced to come clean.

  • You all forget that they were kids, and didn't really realize how the process works.

  • Exactly. The youthful target audience isn't ready for the sad truth that as long as you lie baldly enough, you can get away with stealing /anything/ (though an expensive suit helps, too).

  • @Simpledreamer true, but considering the fact that they knew the guys code name, and the way the guys reacted, in this case it actually works. on most other cases i would agree with you 100%

  • @Simpledreamer They did practically confess though, when the guy said "We didn't take anything else from the backpacks." That is definitely evidence.

  • i love this show man! old memories..its better watching cheesy old shows than stupid ones with no lessons.

  • I agree with some of you saying this show is cheesy after all these years but I still enjoy watching it. Too bad they cant come out with more episodes.

  • the policeman is the guy from Perfect Strangers!!

  • LOL I cant believe it!

  • Mark Linn-Baker

  • now that i watch this years later, it seems so cheesy. but i love it anyway!

  • "You're not double defenders anything. You're not even super heroes. You're super cowards!"

    Stupidest line ever!

  • LOL at one

  • lmao that black girls face and reaction to the tape is hilarious shes like those dam corn balls

  • haha we only stole money--no biggie

  • that chick in the thabtos group is hot!!!

  • she sure is.

  • ew. no shes not.

  • lol at them 2 idiots turning around while playing the game!

  • Losers.

  • Lol, Larry from Perfect Strangers. Would have been funny if the guy who played Balci was his partner

  • lmao

  • Yes! Larry Appleton! "Don't be Ridiculous!"

  • ZOMG rofl!!!

  • I love Brooklyn

  • me too, and i've only been to brooklyn once!

  • I am not the only one to thank davinp for uploading these videos, this program was my favourite, watching it now is really nostalgic.

Just one question, why are ratings disabled?

  • I read a comment on iamghostwriter2 that YouTube is cracking down on people uploading tv shows and it recommended disabling ratings, that is why I did that

  • Hey, I'm not arguing or anything, just curious. Why does it matter if the ratings are disabled? I don't get what disabling ratings and the cracking down on people for uploading TV shows has to do with each other. ANY WAYS, good uploads man. Haven't seen this show for years!

  • Youtube researches videos with lots of high ratings, and then when they come across this, it gets deleted.

  • whats perfect strangers lol?

  • a sitcom that aired on ABC from 1986-1993.

  • Hey, was that cop Larry on Perfect Strangers?!

  • Maybe, check imdb and compare the picture to him in this video

  • Yes, it is I check the credits, what are in Part 3. It says Mark Linn-Barker is the police officer

  • No need. No one looks like cousin Larry from Perfect Strangers. A very unique-looking man.

  • Busted!

  • first viewer!
