  • He's still got it

  • Must be an awesome job... everytime you work, people clap and cheer for you...and you get a huge paycheck to boot....

  • It might be my favourite rendition of this song, Justin is so emotional, powerful and precise and Norda is just fantastic - not bad for 30+ years of constant performing, gig after gig (shock!)

  • SS Nazis

  • The lead is SOOO SEXY!!!!!! FLAWLESS performance from musical genius!!!!!!!!

  • Super voice vocalist - after 40 years !!

  • Good always it will be ............

  • Wow,so good to hear that song again. Don't care much for Thomas Gottschalk & his comments

  • I like very much Moody Blues and this is so great song, video is good too.Julia

  • This has got to be one of the most depressing but yet most beautiful songs of all time !!!

  • @cloudjia Yes, he is !

  • OMG!!!! he's beautiful the voice the words my oh my

  • I Moody ti trasportano in un'altra dimensione, un mondo magico fuori dalla realtà e quando approdi nuovamente a terra, devi riascoltarli! Non so nemmeno comunicare, a parole, tutto quello che provo: bravissimi!

  • There should be an option greater than "Like", i need a " Love it " button on this one.

  • The flautist is a damn sight better than ol Ray! Nice version though!

  • Bravo zu den trubadors des Westens

  • Fabulous....

  • missinnnnn

  • @fordamain No.

  • Fucking jesus, his voice has to be the best of any singer in their 60s, it is still as powerful as anything.

  • Wonderful performance!

  • Nights in white satin, never reaching the end .... 'Cos I love you, yes I love you, oh how I love you (..) ... Best song ever, perfect notes, .. so beautiful as my girlfriend

  • I was an usher for over 20 years, and was paid to see all the good and the bad, The Moodie Blues was and still is in my top 5,live bands, The others were Elvis, John Denver,Ain Anderson, Bee Gees even heard Pavorati screw the spelling.

  • Gäääääääääääääääääänsehaut und 'nen dicken Kloß im Hals.

  • GO NOW! Sorry different band, same name. Graeme Edge was the only member way back then,

  • I love this song

  • Lucky audience--Moodys at their Best!!

  • .....Legends Having Fun......

  • eternal

  • magnifique

  • @regusted yes, he was.

  • Sehr Gut!

  • I Love You norda Mullen...

  • Awesome performance. Just as good after all these years.

  • God! His vocals still sound fantastic after all these years. The passion. The emotion. Unmatched.

  • I'll always Love you Concetta.......

  • still , old is gold...

  • Beautiful song, cause i love it, yes, i love it, oh, how i looooooove it...!!!!!!!!

  • I miss the Mellotron, it added such a weird otherworldly sound, I guess no one in their right mind would want to deal with it's idiosyncrasies in these days of synthesizers.

  • Couse i love you... My love ;/ Don't leave me

  • the real deal is to look at the audience. they loved it. and so do I.

  • Yepp - great - thx - ;-)

  • Danke - thx - es wird immer weniger! ;-)

  • excellente

  • Ein Ohrenschmaus.

  • wonderful!!!!!

  • brilliant ;-) x

  • Christ! That's some live performance, its as good the 1967 record!! Unbeliveable. Justin Hayward never lost it. 10/10

  • @sully1865 that was amazing, wasn't it?

  • Find ich einfach toll! Am I to think Wolfram von Eschenbach himself is praising Hayward? That is, as we say, high praise (and fully deserved).

  • Who's on the keyboard? It's not Paul Bliss. And where is the extra drummer, Gordy Marshall?

  • @moodysue1224 the keyboarder was a rented studio musician for this appearance... because it was too expensive the whole band for a song to Germany to get

  • yeah that was good, tight, suprised justins vocals so good, wat a thrill 4 ones who were around at v time of releasein 67, amidst bealtles wow, wish i was born 20 yrs earlier!, cheers.

  • Forty years goin' and they still sound and move me like the first time. This is one of my very favorite songs.

  • スバラスィ(・∀・)!!!

    超名曲だぁね☆

  • Das was Moody Blues nach all den Jahren noch bringen ist schon mehr als super, Wolfgang! Da kriegt man immer noch Gänsehaut. Absolut perfekt! Gruß Werner

  • They're playing this song 37 YEARS after its 1967 release, and it sounds absolutely amazing!

    Incredible.

  • I dunno why, but i can't help but laugh when i listen to this song. i love it and it's a great song but the seriousness is just hilarious in my opinion

  • The ONLY band I ever paid to see in concert: The Moody Blues. Paid through the A** for the tickets and almost lost my car due to not paying on time. Did I regret it? HELL NO! I'd do it again today....tomorrow....

  • Arguably the best rock song ever written. It's just timeless and has haunted so many of us for so many years. Beautiful.

  • An incredible ballad... a classic for ever...... continues here (++++)

    Great song and great Video

  • The moody blues je les adore

  • Eines der Phantastischsten Lieder die ich kenne!

  • the incredible Justin...I LOVE THIS BAND..and Justin is in his 60's....and yes HE IS FINE:-)

  • i Love you Mary

  • What a way to reciprocate the favor:):):):) Likewise:):)

  • Breathtaking, I will NEVER tire of hearing the beauty of this piece of masterful majestifc beautiful music. It truly will endure the test of time, probably for centuries!!!

  • incredible just unbelievably incredible

  • ....The Moodys ...Timeless Music......

  • Justin must be about sixty years old, he's still a babe.

  • thank U for the music !!!!!!!!!!

  • And until just now I had stubbornly refused to listen to any performance post Ray Thomas. Shame on me! Norda Mullen brings to the flute what Nancy Wilson brings to the guitar. Her flute solo here is about as perfect as any human being could ever hope for. Thank you so much, Norda Mullen, for keeping the Moody Blues' music alive. I will always miss seeing Ray on stage but at least now his beautiful music lives on through the magical breath and touch of this fabulously talented lady. Bravo!!

  • Great song his voice still sounds as good as it did when it was first released!

  • einfach nur ein wort: gänsehaut

  • What a beautiful song!

  • Your so so right....!

  • How can this be topped? It can't be. A most moving experience for those in the audience. For the rest of us--we can only enjoy what others how known.

  • ....Moodys.....Like Fire Flickering.....On the Stage....Legends Having Fun.....

  • beautiful solo.

  • Ein Supe Lied!!!!

  • Wow!

Zum Glück ist Ray Thomas seit 2002 im Ruhestand. Seitdem Norda Mullen (Flöte und Gitarre) mit Gänsehaut-performance.

    Norda Mullen rocks!

  • Ein Gänsehaut-Song.

  • Wo ist Ray Thomas?

  • Der ist freiwillig in Rente...

  • Naja, OK. Danke!

  • Nein, In Die Schuletasch

  • @Zcecchine54 behindert?

  • @WolfvonEschenbach . .er hapt eien zex-changen . . er hapt eienen huebsche madschen now . . lololol . .

  • @WolfvonEschenbach retired due to healt problems but I believe he is working on a project with Mike pinder

  • I never rate but friken soul-full performance

  • This is such a great song!!! I grew up with this son in the 60's and 70's. It is truly wonderful and will always love this song! A true Classic! Thank you Moody Blues for the great music!

  • Bylem na ich koncercie , niezapomiane chwile, piekna muzyka.

  • Great song.

  • Hope the comments posted helps to clarify onefastcyclist's view of the song.

  • Nights in white satin "never ending" is laying awake in bed not being able to stop thinking about your lover. Unsent letters are a result of not being able to put your thoughts in order and express what your feeling, though trying many times; none seem to convey your heart. Suddenly seeing previously unseen beauty is a clear sign of love entering your life as well as not knowing the truth anymore because your world is upside down.

  • This song shows how our world is full of meaningless illusions, and how people are looking for something more meaningful in life. he says in the beginning of the song, that he doesn't know what is going on with this one that he loves so much, and he doesn't know if he should go ahead and be with her, it might be too big of a risk

  • This was written by Justin Hayward,. He got the idea for the song after someone gave him a set of white satin sheets. Haywood told the Daily Express Saturday magazine May 3, 2008: "I wrote our most famous song, 'Nights in White Satin' when I was 19. It was a series of random thoughts and was quite autobiographical. It was a very emotional time as I was at the end of one big love affair and the start of another. A lot of that came out in the song.""

  • Interresant. Danke fuer die Hinweis!

  • For an original band to sound this good all these years later it shows that people in the craft of music in the days past took their jobs seriously. Anybody with a microphone can talk trash, a musician writes real love songs and melodies!

  • What is the very last sentence? I understand he says it's such a beautiful song, and then........?

This is very nice! Though I love it when Justin wails at the end, too!

  • He says, "...and then came a string of wonderful, wonderful ballads. Justin Haywood is the singer, I've always loved him. "Questions," "Voices in the Sky," and the absolute greatest...and that goes for today just as much as 30 years ago... "Nights in White Satin!"

  • I have been a fan of The Moody Blues since I was about 10. I think this man is like "Vintage Wine". He continues to improve with age. The Moody Blues have been a source of happiness in my hectic and troubled times, As always, The Moody Blues continue to shine!

  • it's our song for ever !!

  • This is a sad song: Caskets were lined with white satin. Knights were solders who did not returned from Indochina. The love in this song is the love for those they will never see again.

  • its spelled Nights in White Satin, i'm sorry but it doesn't pertain to Knights at all.

  • The drummer looks like George Lucas. LOL!

  • just wonderful

  • This brings back memories, but they don't sound the same. I know they're older so the voices change. Very Nice......

  • beatiful

  • They still sound as awesome as they did when they first released this song...Justin you ROCK !!!! Thanks for the post redbaron and the share !!!

    Hugs, Stephanie

  • great thing about the Moodies is no matter how bad the world got, there was never a hint of cynicism in their music... even brooding songs like "Gypsy" and "Watching and waiting" were more reflective than they were downbeat.

  • Not only is Justin red hot-he is SM0KING HOT!!!!

  • epic

  • Im 58 and about 2 years ago I was introduced to this magical group. They do bring us all together. I thank them.

  • Incredible... so may decades and it is as good as it ever was.

  • MY GOD! Moody Blues have passed the "Test of Time" Did punk music take alot of talent? does Rap? The stuff has its followers, but TALENT?! Moody Blues are so good that even Pink Floyd owes a debt to these guys!!

  • 70's forever
