Blade of Darkness is more fun when you edit the text file to increase your damage. That way you don't have to rely on those special combos to kill the enemies in a timely manner and you can make up your own combos.

I love this game, but I absolutely hate the Dwarf. His range is shit, his jump is shit, his dodge is shit, and his combos are shit. They really should have spent more time working on him, or at least stepped back and actually tested their own character. The Barbarian is strong, yet slow. The Knight holds a middle ground. Decent strength and speed, and can use shields well. Amazon is fast, yet weak. Dwarf is good at nothing.

that venom hammer, u get it in like 2nd lvl and u can use it only when ur lvl 17. i just passed the game today (again for i dont know what time) and i was skeptical about saving it till lvl 17. well , it was worth it, it stood in my inventory till the end! damn imba hammer

the next thing i liked was the ice hammer, very nice combo (short and easy to kill) one shots a skeleton,

Too bad you can play only for those 4 characters, some variations would be welcome - i know you can change the skins by using codes but would take my mind off the repetitive levels, the story line for all characters is 95% exact same

we don't even get to see what the characters are like, not just the basic info - o ya this guy is a knight and this guy is a barb and la-la-la bla-bla

It IS worth to play the game JUST for the fighting system, THAT is why i STILL play it disregarding the story =)

Sargon (the knight) is probably the best character, his story is better structured than others', he has moves that would rape ANYONE and ANYTHING in MILLISECONDS, fairly fast, lots of health, lots of combos for both swords and maces, BEST ARMOR, plenty of reasons why he is THE BEST

Then comes the chick, REALLY fast, deadly weapons and combos for them, just plain awesome

Barbarian and the dwarf are both on 3rd place

the bow is the most useless weapons in the game!! the ONLY REAL use intended for it is to solve random puzzles

THE ONLY place where you kill archers with bows is the Oasis,

the rest - unless you are disabled in some way - you kill with your MELEE weapon

Yes You are right.

But I love to see the parabol of the arrows. You have to calculate the speed of the target, the parabol of the arrow and the time needed for the arrow to hit the target.

When you hit an enemy that is far away and moving it is very satisfactory. XD

I think that they dind't have time to implement the bow correctly in the game.

Does anyone know what is the amulet for? I mean the one hidden behind a fake wall in Al-Farum. I checked entire level, beating every possible piece of wall but couldn't find a place for the amulet. Maybe it's some kind of bug in the game? Any ideas?

amulet is for some immunity for something , fire , poison etc.

Negative on that :) Crown gives you fire protection and ghost medallion makes you immune to poison. This medallion can't be used at will like crown or ghost medallion and it matches nowhere in the temple. It's a bit annoying because I spent much time trying to solve that mystery but I couldn't make it work anywhere. Maybe that's some sort of super secret?

and mb its just a medallion, it doest mean anything^^ cuz super secret are the runes (lol) and the super bow but i dont know bout that. have you ever found a way to kill the son of a bitch with that cool bow in a way to make him fall down ? :P

I know what the ghost medallion is for (it is on the list of inventory after you press F1) but the amulet is another story. It is similar to those which you use to open final door at Fortress of Tabriz but as I said there's no place in Al Farum to use it.

Some amulets are for preventing the poison or for another "magic" things.

If you have some amulets that don't have magic effects, you should find the correct place to use them, to Solve a puzzle.

Here in youtube you have a "Video Walkthrough" take a look at it if you can't solve that puzzles.

You only have to cycle Objects (Look The controls) and when the amulet is the one selected press "USE". Like if you were to drink a health potion.

Oh, when you use that tactic, you DON'T have to block at all.

I finished severance blade of darkness 4 times now, and I didn't block even ONE attack.

It's just not necessary since it's easy to get good at dodging.

Use amazon to practice dodging, when you get good you can also dodge any attack with dwarf or knight/barbarian.

When fighting orcs (especially as dwarf) see when they do their standard attack of jumping in. When they do dodge to the left or right, and you are in the perfect position to hit them and get most combo's off.

Also its good to use sharp weapons agains orcs (any anything else with flesh) and save your blunt weapons for golems and skeletons.

Don't worry if you have missed one of them you can go backto this maps to search them again after the "Temple of Ianna" .

But don't go to the Dark tower because if you do that you won't see the True end of the game.
