I disagree with people saying Jordan and the Bulls robbed great players from winning. Stockon/Molone with to the finalls TWICE, Payton/Kemp ONCE, Barkley ONCE, Clyde (with Portland) ONCE, etc. If they were so great why didnt the get there more? Im not saying they sucked, im saying its not like Brkley went to the finalls 3 times and lost to the Bulls every time.
Maybe because he didn't put pressure on himself is why his career ended the way it did. Kemp put himself first. Mad about his contract he demanded a trade from a winning, talented Seattle team. Even if they didn't win a championship (the Jordan era was cruel) they would have been in contention to win one for many years.
@art9schw Yeah, the Jordan era was cruel to many great GREAT basketball players and teams. Akeem and his rockets got lucky during Jordan's first retirement! But Charles Barkley, John Stockton/Karl Malone, Patrick Ewing, Reggie Miller, soooo many players as well as teams got robbed of rings. Most of the teams the Bulls beat would CRUSH all of the teams playing today!!
