(more efficent, 6 gears, better options, faster, more torque, factory warranty, etc etc etc... ) your 4.6 with the mods you listed wont be as fast as the 5.0 its just too complete. best sense... buy a 5.0 off ebay. lots at the 30k mark and lots with the intake and exahust already done.

Get a deal on a 2010 GT premium for about 27k and you've saved yourself from buying a 2011 GT premium for 35k. If you actually did save about 8-10k then you can save up for a nice super charger kit and a couple other aftermarket parts.

This was before i even knew about the 2011 5.0 :) and it sucked. the interior was awful, it had power but just wasnt fun to drive. I told them id just hold on to my GT lol getting the new 5.0 soon as it comes out ! damn i cant wait

if you really think about it the camaro's engines arent that impressive..the mustang can get 315 hp out of just 4.6 liters and the camaro gets just over a hundred more out of 6.2..not to mention the 2011 5.0 in the Gt will have over 400 hp. God gm sucks

@coolguy3432 I'm slowly leaning away from GM to Ford, but look... 315 HP at 4.6L is about 68.47 hp/ liter. 426 HP at 6.2L is about 68.70 hp/ liter. Very close, but GM comes out on top in that area.

ive heard that from other people that have driven or owned the it. there are so many camaros at used car lots around here with people realizing that there are more to a car that the styling factor. and even the styling factor has worn off. the style hasnt aged very well and its been out for just over two years, if that. GM cut a lot of corners with this one(as they have with a bunch of their products) its way too heavy with the chassis from the CTS and way too tank-like and small on the inside

There was a video on MT where a pro driver raced the M3 and Mustang GT around a track (I think Willow Springs or something in Cali) and the M3 only beat the GT by less than a 10th of a second or something.

The v6 camaro is around 1.4 seconds slower to 60, and the camaro ss is only .1-.2 seconds faster to 60. Also the mustang handles better in both engines than the camaro with both engines. Just wait for next year. Major engine upgrades.

The new 5.0 has no relationship what so ever to the old iron 302 pushrod motor. It is more closely related to the 4.6 than the old 5.0 and will be better than both of them.

The 4.6 is better. It has better throttle response. It sounds better and can rev higher when modded right. I mean damn most people who really race only want anywhere from 500-600whp anyway for a stang. Thats the best power range for drifting and touge with that car. anymore and you will spin out in hairpins or have to focus to much on throttle control in the corners. Just my opinion though guys from experience.

They give it a 6500 redline & it shifts at 6k anyway. That's why I hate automatics... If your floored it should shift at redline unless you let off the gas. I do love the 2010 Mustang though, I just wouldn't buy one with an auto but, that's just me. Thanks for the vid anyway.
