  • Mg Producoes also makes nice videos but dj marcel is the best mozambican director

  • this is so overwhelming. So you mean to tell me there's more artists and videos like this from southern Africa....

    excellent!!!

  • epah manas,s mudem ja para os usa.

  • I am a fan of mozambican music and i think they make great music, i hope to visit the beautiful mozambique at the all african games, mozambican women and beaches is what i am looking forward to seeing. see you next year

  • now that's what am talking about. africans from all over talking about a music video for a Mozambican musician shot in South Africa and featuring cameos from Angolan and Zimbabwean musicians. That's the spirit of museke

  • vote 4 lizha james for best video @ the channel o awards. vote for xtilo xakhale

  • she is history in the making, her name shall be written all over history books in moçambique, and little moçambican girls have a very good role model to look up to. she definitely makes me very proud of being moçambican

  • SHE THINKS SHE IS BEYONCE LOL

  • Hey Cuz, this video is slammin'! I don't give a rat's.... what others might say because they don't know how far you've come and how hard you've worked. Your crew is top notch and your track are always getting better. You make me proud. Melvin (Cousin)

  • her backup dancer guys are sooo hot!

  • wow im so PROUD to be west african, big ups to my GH'ers n those banging out the nija tunes

  • arent all these people from south africa... on the east coast??

  • the video was shot in south africa but the singer is representing mozambique. mozambique is a country next to south africa

  • yeah im aware of all that... i was replying to this guy who said this vid makes him proud of west africa so im pointing out that they are mad different

  • lol im proud of west africa because of the music we reproduce, the video look glamorous and everything but it cannot take away from QUALITY music

  • This is not west africa this is southern africa, from moçambique. Give my country some credit. produced and directed by a mozambican music director called dj marcel. :)

  • as a west African, I praise the skills of DJ Marcel...please come give us lessons

  • from what i know, dj marcel charges mozambican artists less to make a video, and charges people who are not from mozambique more.if am wrong i don't know :D

  • i see, good looking out. DJ Marcel is a excellent businessman, I'd do the same thing. that means west African artists better save up : + )

  • This is QUALITY music with a good QUALITY video directed by a talented mozambican director from Maputo

  • im not disputing the quality of the video, i give credit where its due, im just not feeling the song

  • You give YOUR credit where YOU think its due. But next time don't indirectly say west african music is better, because it depends on people's personal opinion. I like the song and video, plus she actually has talent because she can sing. Her vocal abilities are outstanding. But since you don't like this song maybe you should searching on Neyma. Neyma is our biggest superstar, even bigger than lizha james or Gabriela, our new superstar. that might change your notion on southern african music

  • Is this another Beyonce because it kinda looks like it with the dance moves.

  • I LOVE the 4 male dancer...i totally love their dancing.....she should make another video for this song with more dancing routines....her attitude in this video screams Diva diva diva diva..she tales pandza music to another level...you go girl!!!!!

  • Lizha James is a diva! She's great. You have to understand some people though, they are fed with Beyonce all day so everyone else has to be 'copying' her

  • @ least this song is way better than Voodoo...What the hell was Voodoo, i was getting scared that she was loosing it...but she has finally convinced me that she is the queen of pandza...HER STYLIST NEEDS TO BE FIRED...she looks horrible in this video...plus the video ain't all that...those blond highlights on her hair need to go plus those exaggerated eye lashes and i also hate her outfits in this video....but the male dancers are GOOD, and this song is good...next time make a better video

  • I like the Voodoo song better, the video was kept simple and it worked for me. it was aight

  • does anyone who sings the chorus with Lizha James?

  • I am sure Ziqo sings in the chorus, but I HATE THIS VIDEO, and I hate Lizha's hair and make-up...she needs a new stylist....Nice music but the video is WACK

  • i'm soryy for the mistake, it is Denny Og who sings the chorus with lizha and not zqo

  • thanks. Like how Loyiso sings along though

  • i wasn't trying to say that her music is bad, i like her music i have just noticed that in some music videos she tries to imitate Beyonce like in luta entre familias when she was dancing with the band and in mina ni randza wena

  • I agree, and "Luta entre familias" kinda reminds me of "Crazy in love"... she doesn't try to imitate beyonce, I just think she is influenced a little bit by especially beyonce. I think this song instead reminds me of "Upgrade U" and not "single ladies"

  • what does the chorus mean or what is the song about?

  • the song kind of sounds like beyonce 's single ladies

  • ...even the hair tossing and dancesteps seem to be leaning towards an attempt to imitate B

  • Beyonce is not the first person to start the hair tossing and crazy dance steps /attitudes it was actually Tina Turner...we might as well conclude that Beyonce, Amerie, and Lizha James are desperately trying to be Divas..but Lizha james is a Diva, ..she is born with that divalish attitude... I wish there was more dancing in this video, i don't really like the video,...can't wait to go back to mozambique and dance like crazy in those nightclubs

  • Who said anything about Divas? As far as I know none of the women you mentioned are Divas...yet(B is heading there). You don't just wake up and decide to be a diva, you work hard and become legendary then the world will refer to you as a Diva. Just because you act like a diva does not make you a diva.

  • Okay, about the diva definition. We can go into definitions and you'll notice that diva may not even be a 'good' word. When I say Lizha James is a diva, I mean that she is a great performer, musician and personality. I don't know where you are from, I suggest you research a little about her.

  • You're right,Its not the best word to describe an artist, too many different meanings. I do not dispute the fact that she is good at her craft. To me putting her, Tina Turner and B in the same Diva category is wrong.

  • Putting different people in the same sentence is overrated. It is not a crime to say she is the Beyonce of Africa or something. Either way, she has some ways to go before she can be as big as either.

  • realy nice video.those ur some nice south african whores

  • still sound nice though

  • I'm sad that stupid western barbarism is penetrating the mother land like this.

  • what do you mean?

  • The Brother is flanked by white blond women

The lead black woman has blond streaks, all women have str8 hair

As far as I know, black Mozambique woman, like the rest of southern Africans have beautiful nappy hair. What I see here is a strong attempt at westernizing the culture there. I'm not mad at them, for we all are suffering like this, just pointing it out. By western barbarism I mean: Materialism, sexual exploitation, and changing natural bodily features to match the white man and woman.

  • We need to get out of this and do our own thing.

    Just my $.02

  • You cracked me up, we are very race tolerant in mozambique, we don't have time to be arguing about race . we way more important issues to duel on.

  • and just so you know, this is Pandza music, this is our culture. i don't know what you talking about

  • I didn't have anything bad to say about the music. I was talking about the music video.

Also, most Afrikan people around the world are 'race tolerant' so tolerant that all the people around me are focusing on racial issues and empowering their own people while we are sitting around trying to multicultural and integrationists.

  • @ teacherofculture, I agree with you. The song is great BUT the video is so western, which is sad.

When I share similar videos with my western friends they love the music but think the 'wanna-be black American' videos are ridiculous...I have to agree.

  • what do you mean by the video is so western. ...so you want us to be dancing in jungles like mad animals. even the west tries to copy from africans. she is not trying to be a "wanna-be black american"...she is a mozambican diva, and does things the mozambican way

  • Is your opinion of African jungles and animals? How shallow. It's one thing to be influenced by another culture and another thing to ape another culture. Don't get me wrong, I think she has done a great job with her music but I strongly believe the less she imitates the more appealing she would be.

  • ...e.g Miriam Makeba was influenced by music icons of her time (Nina Simone other rhythm and blues/jazz/Motown/Pop, etc artists) but she still managed to keep her 'African-ness'...when you listen to her or watch her videos there is no doubt in your mind where she is from and who she is.

  • Lizha James' music is as African as they come. Like funni said, her style is Pandza. You can read up on what Pandza is, it's not influenced by Beyonce, or Tina Turner.

The point is that, she is not imitating per say, she's performing and entertaining. If you've seen it somewhere else, so be it.

  • Her sound is definitely Pandza, no doubt there...I just do not like her video

  • @Loisenasio, go and look at other Lizha james videos, like 'Nuna wa mina' or 'Maxaka'..... those two videos are very african...it is good to westernize our videos every now and then..doing the same thing every time, becomes Boring

  • Nossa pandza e maningue nice

    ntlhanu estrelas

    parabens

  • kind of sounds like Beyonce's single ladies

  • Lizha James rocks! This video has serious star power
