The simple fact is that people unfortunately rely heavily on loans and credit. There needs to be more regulation in their industry in order to prevent reckless interest rates and also who they will qualify to receive those loans - as well as who they pass their finances to (other banks.) That's the basis for the whole sup-prime mortgage crisis.

Ideally, I don't like the idea of increased regulation and interference but greed and excess has pushed this envelope too far. This can't happen again.

I am voting Democrat, but Ms. Pelosi needs to learn about timing. This was not the platform to inflame the Republicans. Congress' approval is at 17 %. The Bailout stinks, but unfortunately we are reliant on a trickle down economy. The Bailout is the only choice, until real regulation and bipartisanship can be ushered in.
