  • @Pilwho21 well the only way i can describe what drone is is when a vehicle mainly with a glasspack or straight pipe hit a high rpm while flooring it and you hear a real loud cracking noise

  • @MrMdr96 It does not make that noise at all. It's a very smooth exhaust note all the way through the RPM band.

  • @Pilwho21 awsome now do you hear more engine or exhaust?? i am really considering this exhaust for my silverado.......and how much wuld these run for???

  • @MrMdr96 The Corsa exhaust on it still keeps the exhaust pretty quiet during normal driving conditions so your not annoyed during long trips with excessive exhaust noise but when you get on it you definitely hear the exhaust. But my truck is supercharged so I still hear quiet a bit of engine noise but I would say it's all exhaust in the upper RPM range. It was about $500.00 for the headers with the silver ceramic coating. The exhaust came stock from GM.

  • does it drone real ban....and how much????

  • @MrMdr96 Drone real ban?

  • @Pilwho21 hah lol i meant does it drone really bad.....meaning the exhaust

  • @MrMdr96 I also don't know what you mean by drone. Like reverberate or something?

  • how much of a pain in the ass were the headers to install...and did it match up to the stock Y-pipe?! (...or do you have an aftermarket one?)

  • @Fourteen88SoCal Minus not having the right tools at the time such as a metric impact socket to get the bolts off the y-pipe to the headers, it was a very easy project. Having some air tools made the whole thing extremely easy. The headers were made to match exactly up with the stock y-pipe which is what I was looking for.

  • @Pilwho21 sweet thanks for the feedback!!

  • Great sound! Love Vortec motors.

  • I think it sounds about the same, little less smoke though..haha

  • i have a flowmaster on my 5.3 if i was to get headers how much of a sound diffrence?

  • @tisisareallylongname

Well what it did for my vehicle was a top end sound for sure. Gave it a much heavier rasp at high RPM which is a nice sound.

  • @Pilwho21 would you say its worth the money for the power and sound???

  • @tisisareallylongname

Yes it is a bit expensive but I think it's worth it. It noticeably louder and gives you some significant torque and a couple more HP.

  • Hey guys i have a 07 tundra i was thinking of upgrading it w/new headers and new exhaust what do you guys reccomend? Im basically looking for better millage and more hp any suggestions please?

  • @silverdiaz7

Take a look around for other guys with experience with our model truck, I definitely got HP and TQ from these headers but not much to talk about with gas mileage. The Corsa exhaust was stock on this vehicle so I don't know if that made a difference either.

  • You welding is for sh*t.

  • @Mondo5734

First of all, I don't even know what you are looking at, the video doesn't show detail of a weld. Second the exhaust is corsa exhaust installed by GM when this vehicle was made. So thanks for the great comment.

  • sounds nice.....but all i can think about is that you need new tires lol

  • @Fourteen88SoCal

Haha thanks, I actually put new tire on about 6K miles ago. Nitto 420S

  • @728bigb well i guess it all depends on your set up. With the supercharger I am putting out more exhaust so less back pressure on my exhaust helped out and i didn't get a lot of HP but I did get some TQ. Gas mileage was un-affected, except for the fact I have a heavier foot now.

  • I like Borla better

  • @Harvey238 well unfortunately the Corsa exhaust came stock on this vehicle, so sorry I couldn't please and thanks for the great comment.

  • alrighty thanks man your truck sounds like a fucking beast!

  • hey man im going to put a set of headers and corsa exhaust on my 09 silverado 6.2 do u have to get a custom tune after or will it be good with a hand held programmer? because i already have a cold air intake and bullydog gt gas programmer i just really was not wanting to get it custom tuned so do u think it would be good without a custom tune?

  • @colton010 you don't need to have a tune done. All the exhaust will do is make your engine breathe better and let combustion flow better. You won't need a custom tune.

  • I love that sound at 0:11

  • i love how that thing starts up!!! sounds like its cammed to death:D LOVE SILVERADOS!!!

  • Did you have to get your truck computer tuned.... Is it alot leader with the new headers.....thanks

  • @maxamillion1011 Louder lol

  • It has a computer tuner from Super-chips that was provided with the supercharger and the exhaust definitely has a more aggressive tone.

  • @Pilwho21 Superchips? Get a real tune, Contact Justin at BlackBear Performance. Just google "BlackBear Performance". They're a million times better than a "Superchips" tune.

  • I did not pick the tuner out. This came stock from GM and Magnuson superchargers. This was there stock recommendation for the supercharger. I am not going to do a standard tune. I'm going to have a custom tune done eventually.

  • if u had the 5.3, you would notice a big difference after doing this.

  • Damn that sounds mean for a 4.8!!!!! Nice!!

  • Awesome sound! I just finished installing my Corsa Sport Exhaust right now! My hands still got that black goo on them. And even then at about 70 mph it's quiet as a mouse. Till you stomp on it. Then you hear the engine roar!!! Thanks for providing the blueprint for my truck!

  • lol i can tell them tires have done a few burnouts

  • haha yes, just recently put new skins on to. That almost no tread really doesn't work for horsepower.

  • dude your truck sounds sick...how much were your headers?

  • Thanks a lot! The headers were $510.00, they are the ceramic coated so its like $150 more for that.

  • I have 2 questions for you....

First, which type of Corsa exhaust did you go with the sports or touring??? I need to know because I'm contemplating on getting one for my truck...

Second, did the header hinder the performance of the truck??? I was at Pep Boys a couple of weeks ago, and the guy was like "don't buy any headers because your truck ecm module is calibrated for them stock headers, and changing will make your truck run like shit"

  • Well the Corsa exhaust was stock from GM on my truck (It's a special edition truck). So I'm not quite sure of which it is, but I'm going to assume that its the touring exhaust. It's very quiet idling and while cruising, but you get on it and its very aggressive.

  • Second I had the truck dynoed after I installed the headers and got just about 18 more HP and 45lbs of TQ. That was in addition with a smaller supercharger pulley. But to say the least my truck actually runs better now. I had some problems where it would studder when starting it, and now it fires off with ease. I have nothing bad to say about the headers. If any thing, any header would be better then those restrictive stock manifolds.

  • @Pilwho21 what was the problem with it studdering i have an 05 gibbs and it does it even on a hot day

  • @ianmcvicker I'm pretty positive it has something to do with the air/fuel mix. It definitely starts better with the headers on but still has the studder at start.

  • I think he's got the corsa sport exhaust. as for the headers etc, you can get it tuned. send me a message and i'll send you a link to a really good tuner.

  • Where did you get the smaller pulley from?

  • South Florida Pulleys, Look it up online and they have a bunch of different sizes that you can choose from and applications. The website is based for magnuson superchargers

  • What kind of performance gain did you get?

  • I did a befor and after dyno. I put a couple of other things on to though. So I'm not to sure what the headers actually gave me. I think a lot of the TQ came from the headers

    New dyno pull

352.58 RWHP up from 334.74 RWHP 17.84 HP gain

383.87 RWTQ up from 336.26 RWTQ 47.61 TQ gain

Add on's included smaller supercharger pulley, JBA shorty headers, MSD super conductor wires, ACdelco iridium spark plugs and Yukon posi-unit
