Then there is this lowest form of ham radio operator - called contesters. These are hams who get on the air and see how many hams they can work in a short period of time. They don't exchange any useful information, they don't say their say their name, they don't say their location, they don't say anything about their family."
I am a Trustee and cannot understand how you didn't get thanked for this fabulous video! A stipend certainly is in order. I apologize for the laxity of FARA, and I'll bring it up to the Board today. William(Ben) Fleck, K2LYE 508-540-2583 benfleck@cape.com I have no computer capability for videos at home, have seen it in the Falmouth Library. Thanks again!
@rlthomas69 I was disappointed I never heard anything from FARA, even after I emailed some of the officers. I do appreciate your thank you. I do not get paid for these videos I do but a thank you is pay enough. When is your next meeting?
@burt2481 Hi Burt. I replied to my email without looking at the link at the bottom and it went to Youtube instead. Anyway, the FARA Club meets on the last Thursday of every month at the Falmouth Town Hall in the lower level @ 7pm. At this next meeting we will be hashing over how things went at Field Day.
@burt2481 Yes, I saw the video and I thought it was great. You interviewed Geoff (club president), Henry (SSB station), Shawn (satellite station), Mike (GOTA station), Jim (generators) and Greg (CW station). All in all, a very nice video.
Well done Burt. I have not participated in field ""weekend"" for a long time. The last I remember was aboard the USS Cod submarine with NOARS back in the early 90s (Cleveland Ohio). There are some nice vids about the Cod posted by ka8vit on YT.
Good video, perhaps I was too hard on you on the other video, :).
