  • Dead lives dead lives dead lives...OK..I know

  • Err0r doesn't know true horror..

    Oh wait, he does actually.

Each day giving his uncle happy ending massages!!

  • GOOD GOOD GOOD......

  • James

  • Shadow slap bitch lol

  • walls of blades.. foook!

  • 9 fans of twilight saw this video

  • 0:52 is scary O_O

  • @titanosaurus79 i agree

  • A really good movie that can teach us ALL a lesson.

  • Solid proof that practical effects are a helluva lot more scarier than CGI effects. I must see this movie! :D

  • Does Death live? I don't know if it does or not.... could somebody please tell me if death lives? No one has ever said that to me in my entire life before, ever.... Does it live? I am very unclear on this....

  • It was the best thing I ever watched on tv when I was a child.

  • I'm putting together a 100 best list for horror films, does anyone think this should be on there? There's a bunch of movies I'm watching from Netflix and this is one I'm not going to get to watch any time soon. Thanks to the people who reply to me.

  • @RdVirus777 It's definitely a classic of it's time.I'd put it in my top 100 horror movies, but I'm 43 years old and grew up watching the film on late night TV screenings.

  • @richwicz Yes, a true classic ! I'm 53yrs, This was this very 1st scary movei that I saw as an adolescent .

  • great movie. amazing ending. remember seeing this as a kid and it freaking me out a bit.

  • I LOVE The CryptKeeper!!! He's Scary-Looking!

  • One of the best horror anthologies of all time. I saw this on t.v. as a kid and it really creeped me out.

  • @TheAltair4

Same here and the final tale was the best in the movie, do you think that razor maze trap is like something out of Saw?

  • @Johnlindsey289 All of the stories are awesome and my personal favorite is 'Poetic Justice' with Peter Cushing. The razor blade corridor is very similar to Saw, only much better.

  • death lives? really?

  • I also wish the order of the stories was a bit tighter; the Peter Cushing segment; hands down the most horrific, should have been the last segment. The follow-up , 1973's "Vault of Horror" was not quite as good.

  • I saw this is 4th grade in 1972. At the time, without question; the scariest movie I had ever seen that gave me many sleepless nights. For some reason , the Joan Collins segment scared me the most because it was something that could really happen. (I only wish her death scene was a little more convincing. When "psycho Santa" is "strangling" her, it looks like he's giving her a mild neck massage). The weakest story was the one that involved the guy who died and came back to see his girlfriend.

  • tales from the crypt is an ok. horror movie I give it a 7/10 but it is kind of scary.

  • One of my favorite horror movies ever.

  • notice how old horror movies trailers kept on repeating the title...check the trailer of night of the living dead..that LOL the shit out of us...

  • i tell you what , if i was in that scene with the three wishes thing, i would just wish to win the lottery, what could go wrong!?

  • Here's a few more, among many, I could list: Tombs of the Blind Dead, The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, Blood on Satan's Claw, Death Line, House of Whipcord, Frightmare, House of Mortal Sin, Satan's Slave, Prey,Psychomania,The Mutations, Horror Hospital,Ilsa-She Wolf of the SS, Last Cannibal World, Mountain of the Cannibal God etc etc etc.

  • @richwicz Those are all great ones. Let's Scare Jessica to Death, The Other, Magic, I Spit on Your Grave, Driller Killer,The Legend of Hell House, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Dr. Phibes Rises Again, Madhouse, Scream and Scream Again,The Sentinel and The Legacy are all quite good too.

  • scary films and t.v shows are no more because of C.G and that my friends is the scariest tale of them all

  • The sound on here sucks but a cool old trailer

  • PETER CUSHIN AAAAND RICHARD GREENE!!!

    WHAT A CAST!!!

  • Trailer looks good but don't bother. This is a waste of time. One of the worst horror anthology films ever. Stick with Creepshow. This isn't even worth the 850MB to download.

  • @err0r That's your opinion, Tales from the Crypt is f*cking ace!

  • @richwicz That's your opinion, Tales from the Crypt is f*cking shite!

  • @err0r Fair enough, you're obviously not a fan of classic 70's horror.

  • @richwicz You're obviously not well-versed in true underground cult horror of said era, only the mainstream dross that floats on the surface like a bad case of diarrhea.

  • @err0r Ok, verse me in your cult horror recommendations of the 70's.Maybe you'll introduce me to a film or two I haven't heard of, highly unlikely though.Spare me stuff like Zombi 2, Eraserhead, Last House on Dead End Street, Buio Omega, Don't Torture A Duckling, A Lizard in a Woman's Skin, Mark of the Devil, Profondo Rosso and the like, I know them all.Tell me something I don't know, Mr Cult Horror Expert.

  • @err0r Don't stick with Creepshow.Romero's film is good, particularly "The Crate" and "Something To Tide You Over" segments but I'd recommend TRUE horror fans to check out the classic Amicus anthologies too.

  • Patrick Magee is Da MAN

  • WT F, well it's very creepy, and the old video makes it even more creepy, LOL this is very weird because I'm talking from windows seven text to speech

  • that zombie is one of the greatest ever created. its in the top 5 ever.

  • @monos70 he does not beat eddie from iron maiden ill tell you that

  • @DudeWithTheGoat He does because he's played by the late, great Peter Cushing, a true legend of horror cinema.I'm sure even Iron Maiden would agree with that.

  • 7 people knew a way out of the crypt.

  • That's some scary shit!!!

  • I've always loved the Horror-anthology film... and this is one of my favorites! Yes, the installment with Mr. Cushing is arguably the best chapter! (He could play both sympathetic hero AND cold-hearted villan with equal mastery!) Though the other vengence story (the one set in the home for the blind) was outstanding as well! They tried to remake that one for the US '90s edition, which was not as gripping.

  • The part in Poetic Justice where Peter Cushing's corpse rises from the grave to take revenge on the bloke who drove him to suicide is very atmospheric.Tales from the Crypt is definitely one of the best of the Amicus anthologies along with The Vault of Horror, From Beyond the Grave, Asylum & The House That Dripped Blood.

  • Top film and as a lover of all things horror related and being a HUGE fan of one Mr Peter Cushing, I was so lucky to meet him twice as he used to live in Whitstable in Kent and ate at a local restaurant every week. SUCH a top fellow in person, very humble and well mannered as you would expect. Being about 11 or so at the time I was absolutely beside myself with awe having grown up on so many Hammer films and the like - still have his autograph which I treasure to this day :)

  • As usual, the original's the best .No exception in this 1972 one hell of a scarry movie.

  • when someones voices appears on a great horror movie and in a kick ass metal video you know hes gotta be the coolest guy ever

  • enjoy complete edition with the following video here at a,v,a,t,z.net remove ,

  • this movie was sooooo awesome

  • The story where peter Cushing is bullied to death is really quite sad :(

  • I loved this movie to death but I can't believe how it's barely mentioned in horror movie lists

  • i like the part where he sais death lives

  • such an underrated movie

  • what would i search for to download this. looks great. any of you guys live in utah and wanna come to our horror movie nights???

  • This was the movie that inspired the TV series? Wow!

  • DEATH LIVES..

  • hno sound!

  • So, death lives, apparently....

  • Comment removed

  • These are the films that inspired me to write :)

  • wow, a 70s horror movie that actually looks scary!

  • This film ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!! One of the very best horror films of "ALL-TIME"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the very cool car (Jensen Interceptor) and Motorcycle (Norton Commando 750cc) that's in it!!!!!!!!!!! In my opinion, The Jensen & Norton are the "true" stars of the film!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "The Grim Reaper" riding a classic British Motorcycle!!!! How cool is that?!?!?!?

  • I remember being scared shitless when I saw this in the 70's. I've just got it on DVD so I can scare myself all over again. I love all Amicus productions! The razor blade lined tunnel still freaks me out!

  • Death... LIVES? D: ... ... ... Mind. BLOWN!

  • Dude, I remember watching this movie on AMC when I was really young with my sister at night, and we got so scared at the end when the guy's like, " Who's next... perhaps you?" We couldn't sleep that night haha

  • The Joan Collins / Santa Claus episode is the scariest. It freaked me out in 72.

  • hahaha, I'm going to watch this just to laugh

  • @freakshack111 Yesss, you will watch the tales form the crypt movie. But you won't laugh; You will be terrified. Your dreams will be haunted by these horrifying, cringe-inducing, blood-curdling tales.

    WHO'S NEXT? PERHAPS... YOU???

  • @toadman842 :D heh

  • Death Lives....... alrite alrite we got it the first time dammit stop saying it

  • This movie was entertaining and scary at times. and it was Rated PG LOL Love it!

  • Great audio lol

  • It's awesome!

  • This 1972 Amicus classic has just been released to UK DVD for the first time, digitally re-mastered & uncensored.Unfortunately this great trailer didn't make it onto the disc though.

  • this looks like jd

  • I remember seeing this movie and Asylum when they first came out...I was only 10yrs old and they both scared the crap out of me!!

  • Comment removed

  • looks awesome!

  • wow this was creepy

  • i agree i love 80s horror but im getting into the 70s genere now ahhhhh the classics.

  • Cool! I want to see it!

  • high tech horror films are usualy funny i think u need this old camera style for a true horror film also i think its because we were kids back then when i was born in 87 by time i started watching horrors trying to be cool around siblings cousins etc they were all movies from then so i think that plays a part in our sub concious

  • you know this reminds me of the twilight zone movie when i was a 5 i thought i could handle the movie but when dan akroyd says "you wanna see sumthin really scary and he turns then turns around and his face is a fucked up its scared the shit out of me but now i like that kind of stuff

  • tales from the crypt is one of, if not the best film of the amicus compendium films.i have them all in one form or another . my favourite story is the peter cushing as arthur grimsdyke one.

  • I miss these kind of movies....

  • i own this movie

  • dont't you think the narrator repeat himselfs too much? dont't you think the narrator repeat himselfs too much? dont't you think the narrator repeat himselfs too much? dont't you think the narrator repeat himselfs too much? dont't you think the narrator repeat himselfs too much? dont't you think the narrator repeat himselfs too much?

  • You know, for it's time, this is really good. I'm really impressed.

  • can somebody tell me which episode is the one at 1:06 where the guy looks at himself in the mirror? i remember watching it a while back and that was one of my favorites. Thanks

  • It's the story after the Joan Collins/Crazy Santa one

  • It's the one about the guy who cheats on his wife and then dreams that he is in a car accident that disfigures him. Then he really gets into a car accident that disfigures him and everyone that sees his face freaks.

  • @UnrestfulDeath it's called 'Reflection of Death'.

  • modern day costumes or CGI can't compare to the creepy eerie feeling of these classics. Today all that shows and movies have is suspense or really loud sounds at one moment to get you scared..

  • Great film taken from old EC Comics stories. It's worth a view if you get the chance.

  • thats was a very cool trailer, creppy for the time it was made in the 70's, i liked it

  • 0:39 to 0:44 is a part of the ending, why would they show that?

  • i remember the joan collins segment. it was creepy.

  • Can anyone tell me what the crypt keeper does? he sounds really cool and stuff, but what does he do?

  • Have you seen any episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents...

Basically the Cryptkeeper 'head-and-tails' the episodes from the series

  • he just sits there and tells the story and leads the twist ending

  • good costumes for the 70s.... :) scary

  • Comment removed

  • Dont remember the name, but i know it was set in a funeral home. Th ekid's uncle murdered him and he came back from the grave to exact his revenge.

  • that was tales from the Crypt yeah I remember it too

  • I just watched it. It's called "Fitting Punishment" (1990)

  • Yeah that one was good it was called... well i forgot, but it's the last episode of the second season.

  • the narrator's voice is similar to that one at the intro of Iron Maiden's "no. of the beast"

  • @manawisha In 1972 everyone talked like that

  • @MotionMenace2 lol hahhh

  • @manawisha Vincent Price

  • @manawisha

No, you are not hearing the voice of Vincent Price. Sorry.

  • this movie was one of the best horror movies from the 70's that ive ever seen. anybody know what the song is called at the end?

  • Toccata and Fugue in d minor, bwv 565

  • ive never heard of this, looks badass....

  • Cool, Classic 70s Trailer for a pretty good horror anthology. Some reason this was not included on the recent DVD of the film as an extra why not?! . "Vault of Horror " was released a year later and was good too. Get both in the DVD pretty gory for a PG rated movie

  • Reminds me of the fake Don't trailer from Grindhouse.

  • DEATH LIVES

  • this one was really really nasty

  • In the fruits and vegitibles section of of your local super market XD

  • I never saw this...but do to it being from the 70's it does look a bit strange...I like the HBO Tales From the Crypt the 80's show better.

  • The comic books were amazing. They inspired a number of artists and make up specialists. Great stuff.

I can see from the old man and the dog, that they adapted the Blind Alleys story from the comic books for this film. I like that story, twisted, dark and soaked in black humour.

  • Thanks for putting this up. Not sure why this isn't on the double feature DVD release. They did put the Vault of Horror trailer.

  • Love this movie! It sucks that its only had one dvd release but its double billed so its not its own dvd -_- like those crappy two sided dvds

  • "Who's Next...Perhaps You?" This Cryptkeeper rocks!!!

  • @DefLeppardVanHalen Let us not forget...Randy Rhoads.

  • i feel like a pussy the part with the dog scared me lmao

  • DEATH LIVES ??

  • I got to see this movie when I was 7-

I had no idea what my mom was thinking when she took my cousin and I to see it, but I remember being scared but also fascinated by it.

Look for Peter Cushing in one of the best stories in the whole movie!

I still remember the look on my classmates' faces when I told them about this movie..

  • I love it! Just the way a horror movie should be.

  • Thats stil scary lmao

  • what rating is this movie?

  • Rated PG

  • By today's standards it would probably be PG-13 bordering on an R.

  • wow, i didnt know the show was that old. I remember watching this show when i was young in the 90s around 3 am, an it scared the hell out of me. Anybody know what happened to it?

  • This was the original MOVIE that came out in 1972. The series came out way later.

  • yeah the series came out in the early 90's. i have them all on dvd.

  • Could you tell me where you bought them? i want them.

  • Hwy, I know that guy at the beginning...His name is Doug Graves...

  • I have this on dvd and its way better than the crappy series on HBO. It came with Vault of Horror which came out the next year.

  • Asylum was the third movie in the series.

  • I'll have to order that. I live for horror films.

  • Asylum can you tell what movie that is & what it has to do with this. I never came cross that movie.

  • Asylum is another anthology movie from Amicus. It doesn't really have anything to do with Tales from the Crypt. Personally, I think it's better than Crypt. It's out on DVD.

  • thanks & i watched it off a torrent. I must say its more deep then this. & i watched the other movies like from beyond the grave, The house that dripped blood etc. All wonderful fascinating movies.

  • Amicus Productions film company

  • Ps could any1 tell me the name of the song at 1:30? i know what song it is have heard it a million times, just dunno the name of the song/ mellody

  • Toccata and Fugue in D Minor - (J.S. Bach)

  • All your need on friday night with a full moon,it amicus and hammer films with Cushing and Lee

  • these great english horror films by the amicus studios are excellent . all made around the 1970's . each of the movies / tales from the crypt/vault of horror/dr terrors house of horrors/the house that dripped blood/ torture garden / all of them were anthologies were the film had several mini stories in the actual film itself. amicus perfected this kind of production that makes these films virtual cult classics today

  • ahahahahahahahah! Joan Collins! ahah.

    looks really creepy for 1972

  • Yeah but I reckon she could take Joan Rivers, any day.

  • razor blade wall = ouch

  • Interesting. I didn't know there was a trailer for TFTC. They didn't include it on the DVD. I wonder why not :-/

  • sounds like the Night of the Living Dead trailer to me

  • these great english horror films by the amicus studios are excellent . all made around the 1970's . each of the movies / tales from the crypt/vault of horror/dr terrors house of horrors/the house that dripped blood/ torture garden / all of them were anthologies were the film had several mini stories in the actual film itself. amicus perfected this kind of production that makes these films virtual cult classics today .

  • you are so right, I love these films with the multi-stories in them, and those great British actors. They don't make 'em like Peter Cushing anymore

  • I saw this movie years ago, I liked it but it did not scare me

  • DEATH LIVES!!!11!1

  • gosh, thats creepy!

  • I'd say the other real one kicked it up a bunch of notches.

  • I have all those episodes on a VHS. It comes in way better than that though. 4 mini episodes.

  • But please...

  • Did they only had one voice actor for all the teasers in the 70's and 80's?

  • they sure sound the same

  • I wish we would get 'The House That Vanished' on dvd,it's a good sleaze classic..from Hallmark releasing.

  • any one know where you can get a UK DVD of this?

  • i have seen the tales from the crypt & its follow up vault of horror . both on ebay . in a 2 dvd box set ..

  • I love this, I looove the horror Genre and nothing tops the 70's and 80's nothing, So many classics and with alot of Genres in this day and age alot of the shit we have BLLLOOWWSS monkey nuts there no more thought heart depth anything thats is just remotely worth giving credit to. Ppl stopped making others have to think do to the poor ever lacking progressions of societies mental thinking and that unfortunately translated into our entertainment. LETS BRING BACK WHAT EVERYTHING ONCE WAS!!! PEACE

  • Very nicely put.

  • you are correct . appart from the dates these classic amicus anthologies all come from the early 1970s . i can not think of any film from the 80's .

  • dec2222, there was creepshow and tales from the darkside in the 80s

  • hi kev . i should have said british anthologies from the 1970's . the two you mention tales from the darkside & creepshow . are very american virtual comedys .and in being so . dont have that hammeresque / amicus feel . that is excemplified on the related videos on the right hand side . in tales from the crypt 1972 part 3 . posted by croby ..
