I was just watching some Super Mario 64 a little bit ago and I gotta say, the planet in the intro must of looked AMAZING when this game came out. The leap from the N64 to the Gamecube was fanaminal.

@i0inky I know, the graphics can be a part of it, but it still irks me when the only part of what ANYONE says good about a game is its graphics. Older games like the N64 did with what they had, and a lot of those games were amazing.

I just think sometimes more focus is put into good graphics than is into good gameplay. They both have to be there, but the graphics improve with the capabilities, the gameplay depends on the quality of the actual game design.

@xxXcodnerdXxx I'm not saying people don't like graphics, I'm saying that graphics alone can't be a reason to praise a game. A game can have beautiful graphics and horrible gameplay and still be horrible. The reverse, I know, is also true.

On the other hand, you don't have to make the most realistic, beautiful, amazing graphics ever to make a good game. Simple yet stylish graphics exist. For instance: Skyward Sword. It has beautiful graphics, but they're not photorealistic.

@xxXcodnerdXxx I love the game. I'm just saying you can't weigh gameplay over graphics or graphics over gameplay. Not to mention there are plenty of really fun games out there with ridiculous or no storyline. Tetris, for instance. Tetris have a storyline? No. Tetris still fun as fuck? Yes.

I'm not complaining about this game's graphics, or gameplay. I was just making a point that there are those who praise just the graphics and ignore the other elements, and it bothers me. That's all. Sorry. =)

I just finished pikmin 1 and I am looking to buy the second pikmin on ebay (the game sounds amazing). It's really interesting though watching someone else play pikmin 1. There's a lot of little things I didn't think about playing it through for the first time. Nice video and it's fun watching/listening to you play pikmin 1. rofl (Hopefully you won't say too much about Pikmin 2. I don't want to ruin anything. XD)

I never finished the original Pikmin. I rented it back in 2004 when Pikmin 2 came out, but never beat it because I had to turn it back in by day 20, or something.

That aside, I absolutely adore the music for this area.

I love both of these games. I'm just sad I couldn't find the first as the original, I had to resort to buying the Play for Wii version. The controls are actually better in my opinion, though it was hard to learn how to use the new controls at first... Old habits die hard, you know.

I am honestly divided 33/33/33/1 between they have a new pikmin type, they have no new pikmin types, they revert back to red blue yellow to simplify things, and they have two new pikmin types
