Nicely played. There are some easy passages in Dowland, but then you meet some strange chords, which take a lot of practise.

@wwilson1s Most (all?) of Dowland's work is in this tuning as it creates the same chord shapes of a lute.

i dont understand why people dont play this piece in its original key of F minor. It may seem like a difficult key, but it is still possible on guitar

I'm not saying that it doesn't sound nice in other keys though.

@Cretin321 Well, the lute is generally tuned 1 and a half tones higher than a guitar. Playing it like this preserves the chord voicing (chord shapes) and their relation to the open strings (which is usually pretty important to the arrangements). To play it more accurately, rather than just play it in F, as you suggest, he could place a capo on the 3rd fret.
