Q) In the last episode of the second season of jigoku shoujo(Futakomori)..Ai Enma is killed and she turns into sakura petals and goes to heaven and so do her parents. Ai did the punishment as the Hell girl just so her parents did not go to hell. BUT, WHY IS SHE BACK IN THE THIRD SEASON? SHE N HER PARENTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SET FREE. So i really dont get the reason for Ai to come back as hell girl in the 3rd season..?!?

no, the question is wat is the need for ai to possess yuzuki?? wy is she back again...if she was set free she wudnt hav possessed yuzuki....also if u see the last ep of mitsuganae, ai willingly takes yuzukis punishment....that doesnt make sense, if she wudnt hav possessd yuzuki, she wud never hav to do yuzukis punishment...so basically, my question is still unanswered....i wonder who will answer it...

At the end of Futakomori, Ai is freed from being a Jigoku Shoujo. But she temporarily came back since there has to be a Jigoku Shoujo. So she went to find one. She chose Yuzuki since they have the same past. Left and betrayed by others. So Yuzuki became Jigoku Shoujo but since she went didn't go by the rules (Sending someone to hell w/o a contract), god of hell was to send Yuzuki to hell, but then Ai takes Yuzuki's punishment. Jigoku Shoujo forever.

i understand, even i thought about that before, but i dont get the fact that she comes back after a 400 year curse...it wud be stupid to do something after uve been set free from doing it....i love yuzuki's past...btw, hav u seen mitsuganae??..just finished mitsuganae last month,, many innocent ppl were sent to hell...:(...well, watever the reason be, this is and will always be my fav anime!!!

Hell Girl kicks ass! Got loads of merchandise like the dvds, t-shirts, wall scrolls, hats and more. One of my favorite moments is when she comes back and burns the village to the ground. (episode 25) they got what they deserved!
