There's really no difference for the Blackberry between a text sound and a ringtone. If you've got one, it'll be in Settings -> Sounds -> Set Ring Tones/Alerts
A lot also depends on the model mobile you have and what your carrier allows with it.
@bonjouro667 Pretty easy, really -- I googled until I found them (I don't remember where they were, but a quick google for SBB ringtone or CFF ringtone finds a couple online). The Blackberry makes it VERY easy to add mp3s as ringtones.
I love these tones -- I actually tracked two of them down to use on my phone (German tone for SMS, French tone for MMS) (Sorry Ticino, I use the SNCF for blackberry messages)
There is no Rumantsch chime, because the SBB does not serve the Rumantsch speaking part of Switzerland. But there are Rumantsch announcements at the RhB (Rhätische Bahn) while travelling though Rumantsch speaking country sides...
@Lucano86 On both the 11th September 2000 and on 13th November 2002 when I was in Chur, the cantonal capital of Graubünden, at no time did they ever make announcements in Rumantsch. You may likely need to go deep into the RhB territory to hear it. Maybe they have made this change since that time.
@Lucano86 Swiss Federal Railways do not announce stations ins Rumantsch. But the Reatian Railways anounce stations in Rumantsch in some Rumantsch speaking regions (for example in the lower and upper Engadine between Scuol and St. Moritz).
The RhB is not on the same system as SBB/CFF/FFS, especially at Landquart or Chur. I have been there in September 2000 and November 2002, and as far as I know, neither system are connected to each other, except at the relatively major rail station of Chur.
@amiausUSA I've been now a number of times to Grischuna in Switzerland, and you're right. The SBB stops in Chur, and from there on, it's the RhB eastbound as well as westbound in the direction of Andermatt (I think they may not go up to Andermatt but Disentis/Muster), without the recorded announcements of the SBB train crew.
Hello Lucano86,
Thank you for the chimes, only the first one (Deutschschweiz) is a litte bit too fast... Where did you find them?
See you!

@100zuma I am not 100% sure but I think that the use of the chimes is at the discretion of the operating company.

StoccoRoss 1 year ago
@StoccoRoss — true, but the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn is not an integral part of the Swiss Federal Railway network. It is a private railway company

@jeanpauljh - good point, but it is still in switzerland

Diese moderne Chime gibt es erst seit 1995. Früher hat es schrecklich getönt. Im Bahnhof Interlaken Ost hört man immer noch die alte Chime.

I loved the way swiss distinguish the languages on the train, but there's no Rumantsch chime so far... or is there?
migmontano 2 years ago
In Graubunden the use the same chime as Deutschschweiz.
I'm not sure wheter they use rumantsch announcements or not. I've never been there. :-)

They do not use Rumantsch in Chur, at least not for the SBB trains. As for the RhB trains, you may need to go to Davos.

They use Rumantsch announcements:

The railway company there is not called SBB but RhB (or Rhaetian railway).

@tchris1984 Technically they do — there are many trains that travel to and from Chur, the capital of Grischun
