@majorghn You are a complete idiot. Scout snipers or SF snipers serve a completely different purpose, they're not meant to be embeded in combat squads. Going on patrol defeats the purpose of being a sniper: STEALTH. A sniper is used to take out high priority targets, usually behind enemy lines. Right now, our boys are policing the country. The more firepower the better. A few SAWs and the rest riflemen. Ambushes are ambushes, its hard to counter them whether you're a sniper or machine gunner.

@walkertexasranger33 When I say "Pro Afgani forces" I meant they are pro government and all they are fighting for the good guys, not pro as in pro shots. They are anything but that. Although RPGs are highly unstable in flight. I'm surprised he was able to get 5 off so cleanly without a problem.

@walkertexasranger33 Usually because the embedded journalists are kept well out of the line of fire in conventional situations,ambushes are the only likely place,if a reporter is lucky enough for him and his camera crew to be deployed with the unit in question,and survive the attack.Remember a lot of firefights are at long rangers(100m+).
