And the only thing in my mind that puts Hendrix ahead of Ed, is the fact that he made a lot of pedals that we're using today. Wah pedal, delay, and i'm sure there's a few more. @Biggestchargersfan21 I would say that when we talk about skills Steve Vai is better than EVH but I think EVH has inspired more guitarists. He has started the new playing style that many latter-day guitarists have used. Same thing with Jimi Hendrix. He has inspired a lot of guitarists and his playing style was something new. Many guitarists mention EVH or Hendrix as their influences. Without Jimi or EVH there wouldn't be Steve Vai or other good guitarists.
