  • @EpiphoneMaster1234: You are absolutely right ! I just said that to my kids.

  • That guitar will never be the same again. Now that she's been played by Sonny Landreth, she'll never be played like that again. She will spend the rest of her life feeling unfulfilled, searching...being ganked by hackers in a series of meaningless one-night-stand dives, and will likely never experience another true orgasm as long as she lives. But she will always remember this night, when she was caressed and seduced by the hands of the great Sonny Landreth. :-)

  • Master Sonny :alaba:

  • Wow Great Guitar maybe my next XMAS surprize!

  • Are there any to give away, wow wishful thinking, awsome sound.

  • LOve thissssssssssssssssssss ****

  • too purty. needs a cheaper guitar.

  • Superb!

  • AWESOME !!!

  • would like to see what bob brozman could do with a 44 special as compared to a national.sign me up. john

  • Terraplane guitars starts at 7000 dollars +!!!!???

  • How on Earth does he do the vibrato thing at the end ? Pressing down on the strings between the tailpiece and bridge maybe ? Weird !

  • Worked it out. You play a 12th fret slide and strike hard and then mute with your right hand and release. The strings automatically ring back out and resonate creating a volume swell effect. The trick is getting the slide right on the exact point where bridge and nut side are equal in pitch. Hard to do first off but then it's easy. It wont work anywhere else on the neck that I've found so far. Cool trick ! Thanks Sonny great playing as always.

  • It works on almost any odd fret number above 12. 17 and 19 especially.

  • Sonny Landreth is not of this planet! lol

  • the master

  • The tuning is open E!

  • tell Arlen Roth

ill see him at the flea market again

  • OH MY GOD, this is heaven

  • Was that Steve Lemme from Beefest sitting on the couch to the left of sonny?

  • what tuning is he using??

  • zajebiste:d :)

  • Great.

  • Google it up but the resonator is not electronic but a thin, aluminum cone inside the body to act like a speaker.

  • The resonator played features a pick up so this example is electric.

  • nope

  • a resonator is like a built in amplifier.

  • cant beat sonny

  • what is a resonator?

  • Imagine the bridge of the guitar as sitting on a kind of aluminium acoustic loudspeaker fitted into the body - that's what a resonator guitar is. Loud and wonderful!

  • sexy is right. I need a resonator

  • Kudos on a fresh take on the metal body reso design-sounds beautiful in Landreth's hands!!

  • What is this tuned to?

  • Open D

  • "Strange" 'TERRAPLANE' originally was an automobile brand of the Hudson motor company in the thirties. Made famous up to now by the greatest of them all: Robert Johnson with his, "Teraplane Blues".

I'm totally hooked on the magnificent sound of the 'resonator' and this 'Demo' of Sonny's is soothening ones mind and ears !! In one word, superb !!

  • The day I become a real guitar player is the day I'll have one of these.

  • Total master of the instrument. Just unbelievably good.

  • who made this awsome guitar???

  • thanx

  • Sexiest thing ive seen in a long time!!!
