@youngdones Watch the interview with Pim Van Lommel, a cardiologist initially schooled in the idea that consciousness and mind are caused by the brain. He now accepts otherwise. Also watch Pam Reynolds' NDE which is accepted as having happened when there was zero activity in her brain. In many NDEs a person does not only experience consciousness, but heightened consciousness, why? because not only does the brain not produce mind and consciousness, it actually inhibits it.
@youngdones Straight out of the Dogmatic Science handbook. Your "theory" falls down when you have documented cases, such as the Pam Reynolds case.
Scientists agree that if you were to actually bring someone into death and bring them back... you would set up a controlled environment exactly as Pam Reynolds was in to prove consciousness lives outside of the brain.
The problem is finding voluntary subjects willing to be brought into and out of dead for a scientific experiment.
You are a biological machine, consciousness requires a brain, death is final.

I have a friend who went into cardiac arrest and was dead for almost three minutes, he did not experience anything supernatural.
