  • I personally am a tea party republican..... but I believe that in order to run this country we need liberals..... something like Gov. Chris Christie of NJ (R) said today in his state of the state address.... I mean I greatly admire FDR and JFK, and a little of Teddy...... I think the y were great presidents.... nad I mean I still to Tea Party conservative....

  • The country needs liberals and republicans to run the country effectively so no one party gains to much power. It's almost like checks and balances in a way.

  • I read the credits XD

  • Like that version of "Whispering" for the credits roll :)

  • "true objectivity" because conservative and liberal are the only two political beliefs huh.

  • Soooooooo none of our founding fathers? Or the men that they got their ideas from such as Locke, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Rousseau, Voltiare, Montesquieu, etc.? None of them you would consider to be "good" liberals? Yes, their ideas are considered conservative now, but in history they were definitely the liberals of their time. Especially Jefferson who you were happy to hear someone say was their favorite president in your video at UC Berkeley.

  • Bahahahah your a funny guy. :)

  • I like JFK, certain things about Teddy, and Truman cuz he had balls. And I can say although I disagree with him on everything I have respect for Joe Lieberman because he isn't a total douche like Weiner or Grayson or Franken

  • FDR ???!!!!!!

  • @brutleful bad

  • @brutleful One of the worst :p

  • odinata is a douche...

  • If your a Liberal: We need no protection, no rich, no oil, no hard workers, no rasict people this applies to whites only. Equal life and health care and equal everything. Working, Intellegent and nice people. and lazy non working assholes. deserve the same treatment and payment. :D!

If your a democrat: Were that just a bit lighter. Like lite beer. And you forgot to add. your allowed to use any drug you want.

If your any one smart or a replubican: Are you f**ing serious?

  • It takes courage for Steven Crowder to come out of the closet as an openly gay conservative.

Cheers to you, Steven, not just for being open about your sexuality, but for remaining a conservative despite your lifestyle.

  • HAHAHA hey steven you're so funny man. hey tell your fans how barack obama has expanded on the patriot act that bush created. tell them how he has Expanded on the wars in afghanistan and iraq. Tell them how he's increased funding to mercenary groups like blackwater. Or how he and bush gave billions of tax payer money to fund these NeoCon banks and corporations.

Or even Obamas lax treatment of British Petroleum.

Oh wait that's right. You Cant.

Cuz you're just another NeoCon Fuck.

  • Noam Chomsky

  • hahaha awesome

    stunts

    cant believe

    your still

    reading this

  • I think you put in more effort in writing the cast than recording the actual video =P

  • "...quest for true objectivity and balance." Lol, who are you kidding man?

  • liberals worthy of praise. hmm.. how about those who opposed slavery, supported the civil rights movement, and supported equal rights for women and homosexuals? something the likes of you would never do.

oh and by the way. you cant be pro life if you're for the death penalty, killing the planet, and sending soldiers to die for an unworthy cause like making oil profits for halliburton : )

  • @alvisc2002

You can be pro-life and still be pro death penalty. I am pro-life but I support the death penalty because those who are sentenced to death, are done so by a judge and a jury. That is called "due process" and babies don't get that. They are innocent. They have not committed any offense that would warrant the death penalty.

  • @JRooster101 ok then how about this. we let them grow up. join the military under the impression that they're serving their country. and then we can send them to die in a war so that wealthy conservatives can make cash off of heroin crops in Afghanistan and oil profits in iraq. and if people start to wonder we can say there were weapons of mass destruction. Look people are stupid. they'll believe Anything.

  • @JRooster101 or better yet. how bout you abort the kid by putting an evil dictator into power in his country and then allowing that dictator to starve his mom to death.

i mean that's kind of an acceptable way to commit abortion right?

    dont you think?

  • @alvisc2002

What are you rambling on about? What country starves their children? In the US even the illegals get food stamps and welfare. I know they starve their citizens in Cuba, China, and other shitty places.

  • @JRooster101 dictator in iraq(sadam hussein) brought into power by.... ?? any guesses?

The Taliban. Afghanistan. brought into power by.... ?? any guesses?

    lol.

do cheney and rumsfeld ever ring a bell to you?

man you really dont know what the hell i'm talking about do you.

  • @alvisc2002

Seeing as to how you make no sense (what does abortion have to do with dictators starving their citizens? Abortion happens before birth). You are correct, I don't know what you are talking about. That usually happens when people ramble.

I do understand the part about the bail outs, the expansion of the wars by Obama, the patriot act (BTW, a democrats creation, approved by a stupid congress with bipartisan approval even after dems took over in 2006)..

  • @alvisc2002

I assumed you were calling our leaders dictators (which in Obamas case is rightly fitting, and Bush was close behind). But in the true sense of a dictator, neither really qualify.

  • some of the most revolutionary things in history have come from what was liberal at the time (George Washington, MLK Jr., Woodrow Wilson). Only problem is that many more worse things have come from it.

  • I agree. There is a distinct difference between 'liberalism' and 'progressivism.'

  • Hey Steven!

I like how your videos get people arguing in their comments. haha

    Keep up the good work

  • lol diddy kong did the stunts

    special thanks to butts

    LOL

  • What's with this shitty site, you post using "reply' and it goes to the top. What hacks

  • Name me a Conservative that isn't a hypocrite. :)

They all talk "small government" but want to control people's private lives, which is very "big government."

  • I think Crowders contrarian views should be admired. America could use more people like him to upset the status-quo, even if I do vehemently disagree with him on some issues personally. Nice work once again sir.

  • The dictionary gives several definitions of 'liberal'.

The most obvious one being, "willing to respect and accept behavior or opinions different from one's own".

I don't think that ANYONE can say that they are a liberal to the fullest extent, as no one condones murder, but that is a hyperbolic argument-- a straw-man, isn't it, to say that all liberals tolerate EVERYTHING?

Aren't most people trying to say that people SHOULD be liberals? That they SHOULD tolerate others?

    I'm missing something.

  • can't believe

    you're still reading this

    hahahaha :)

  • Clowner at work again

  • The classic liberal attitude is "if it feels good, do it" without regard to the negative impact on society i.e. the destruction of the family unit.

  • @dirtyshortsPU What I've noticed, is that they all believe that "everyone deserves to be happy in life." The major problem area is that some people belief that this life is the only life that they have to make happy, while many conservative people believe that this world involves preparing for a greater happiness after death. It's a very complicated issue, because it;s impossible to get everyone to believe in the existence of life after death.

  • Yes, though living by, or attempting, conservative values will prepare you for an afterlife, if that's your goal. If not, those values are still beneficial. And pointing out the failures of those who profess them doesn't reduce the goodness of the values.

  • I think the Pagans have it right when it comes to the afterlife.

  • Actually, I should have typed the "present" liberal attitude...

  • The classic Conservative attitude is "peek through your neighbor's window when it's none of your buisness".

  • You meant liberalism....

  • Nope. I meant exactly what I said. Conservatives are hypocrites that can't stay out of other peoples' buisness.

  • what about JFK, and FDR, although by today's standards they would be considered rather conservative eh.

  • @CaptainRon0001

FDR was by no means a conservative. He was a progressive.

  • I live in Sweden, and the definitions of liberals and republicans are so different depending on where you go, so could someone explain what a liberal is defined as in America?

  • Well the reason for that is that liberal is a positive word...not as loaded as say...progressive or socialist. Classical liberals are far different. But lets see if I can break it down simply....

Liberals(Democrats) want lots of government. They want unions and federal government and state government and local government as the large buisness.

Conservatives want LESS government all around. More explination? I feel that wasnt a biased response(im Republican lol).

  • In that case, I'm closer to Republican than Liberal. But honestly, since the terms are so screwed up, it's easier to just take them by their original meaning. So, through that, I'm a French Revolution Leftist. :)

  • Lol. That is exactly my thought on the matter because a TRUE liberal is actually the total opposite of what the meaning is for a modern liberal. That is good to hear that someone from Europe is opposed to government. I was under the impression they didnt exist. Dont get me wrong...there is such a thing as not enough government, but we are FAR from that point. I feel sorry for yall over there cause I know they tax the bejesus out of you.

  • @gat0rbball

However to add on the Conservatives aka Republicans we do have in the government should not be called that. They are tending to want more government now a days.

Still liberals tend to forget about the economic impact of their policies. They help this one group of people at the same time it hurts a group who werent doing anything. Example take College. Because of all the federal grants and the financial aid it has steadily increase costs of school. Higher demand.

  • Conservative doesn't necessarily mean Republican. John McCain, for instance, is not a conservative, but he is a Republican. Likewise, Democrat desn't necessarily mean liberal, I have a friend whose entire family are registered Democrats, but they are also conservative.

  • I have gone from liberal to conservative many times, and vice-versa, and I tend to think that both want big government. Liberals want bigger government in terms of the economy, and conservatives want bigger government in terms of forcing their morals on others (liberals also do this by banning guns). I consider myself a libertarian, in that I want economic AND social freedom. People who DO work shouldn't pay people who DON'T, and if you wanna smoke a joint, go ahead...freedom is the key.

  • @ElijahTheAtheist

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

  • Libs want big government, and believe that the government should pay for your healthcare, car, house etc. They basically believe that the goevernment should control people's lives. This is also known as Communism, and last I heard, it wasn't working out too well for the North Koreans. Conservatives want smaller government, and believe that the government has no obligation to house, feed, or care for you, it mearily won't hinder you as you do that for yourself, unless you break a law or something

  • Interesting, cause the concept seems opposite here in Europe. Here liberals want more freedom, less government, and so on. I've basically stopped using these terms, because wherever you go, someone is bound to get confused.

  • the liberal and conservative term is very flexible depending on what country u mean. its easier to use right-wing or left-wing.

  • Yeah, but even then it's very flexible. A right wing extremist can have the same as a left wing extremist, so it's all very blurry.

  • It's more of a circle than linear. When you go to one extreme, you're close to the extreme of the other end. Just like Communism and Socialism- Communism is extreme right, and Socialism is extreme left. The "tea party" idiots can't figure out which one Obama is and call him both.

  • You obviously know the def. of neither. You're in over your head kid....

  • Conservatives want big government. Case and point: Telling people who they can and can't marry, telling women what to do with their bodies, and spying on Americans without warrants.

    You, sir, are a hypocrite.

  • @HermieHedgehog

    Liberals

    - want the government to provide healthcare

-want to impose a ban on firearms

-took over companies like General Motors

  • Conservatives

-ignore the fact "insurance" companies murder people for profits

    -violate Article 4 Section 1, Article 6, and Amendments 1, 9, 10, and 14 by banning same-sex marriage.

-wasted MY tax dollars by throwing money away unchecked and without conditions to companies that used them to line their own pockets.

Oh, and the government already does provide healthcare.

The 2nd Amendment cannot be touched.

And Obama wasn't "taking over" GM. And OMG, look, they're reopening factories!!

  • @HermieHedgehog

So, abortion isn't murder, but insurance companies are?

When a woman kills the baby inside her, it IS murder, because she is killing the baby's future, life, and accomplishments. And it's not like she is required to care for the baby, she can always put the child up for adoption, but at least now the baby has a chance at life.

  • @HermieHedgehog

What I meant to say, was "So someone who has an abortion isn't a murderer, but the insurance companies are?"

  • Of course! Didn't you know that the woman's life is worth something but the baby is not. I mean after all it's not like we have ever had a time in history where one person had the right to decide what happened to another lesser person as if they owned that person or anything. Oh wait, darn it! We did. It was called slavery and we fought a war over it didn't we??

  • One of my best frineds has had to grow up without a dad, and it really has hit her. Hard. Sure, her mother and grandmother still love her, but not having the paternal influence, you can see how much that has affected her, almost to the point of depression.

I don't doubt that gay couples can be loving, I never said they couldn't. But there are some roles that they just can't play, like that of a dad, if they're of the opposite sex.

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong better than being in an orphanage

70% may not be 100% but it is still more than 20%

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong But hey, isn't two gay parents that can't take All parental roles better than no parents that can't take any parental roles? I'm 100% pro gay adoption just because of the reason I just pointed out.

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong Fuck you. If you seriously don't think that... fuck you. Sorry, there's seriously no way to put it other than that. Do some actual research on the topic then get back to me.

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong, are you basing what you believe to be true for everyone on the experience of one person? Allow me to slightly alter your comment: One of my best friends had a dad who used to hit her. Hard. You can see how much that has affected her, almost to the point of broken bones. Using your logic, dads are bad and shouldn't be allowed to raise kids.

  • @DarkMatter2525 That was completely off the point. Watch Me Prove You Wrong (whom we shall refer to from this point on as The Person Who Can Actually Manage To Stick the Point At Hand) was talking about gay/lesbian couples. Now its proven that a person born a man is a man while a woman born a woman is a woman. It has not been proven however THAT ALL MEN HIT THEIR KIDS!!! So stop being a sexist, bigoted, holier-than-thou liberal and prove me wrong!

  • @hooplablahblahblah, find a dictionary. Look up the word analogy. Try again.

  • @hooplablahblahblah, and I let you get off too easy with my last comment. Your comment actually shows the flaw in WatchMe's comment, that it has not been proven that ALL kids will become depressed if they don't have dads (same as it has not been proven that all men hit their kids). How am I sexist, bigoted, holier-than-thou and a liberal? You know absolutely nothing about me.

  • @DarkMatter2525 Never thought I'd see you here. Don't you know it's bad for your health to debate idiots? -_-

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong havent heard of adoption?

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong I can tell you, as a person raised by gay parents, that your statement is not always true. I've always been very happy in life. I never felt that I have missed anything. I have met other kids in my life that have grown up with gay parents, some with 2 dads and some with 2 moms, and none of them have felt like they are missing anything.

  • @WatchMeProveYouWrong I don't mean to sound a lot like a liberal, but I need to tell you: There is a huge difference between only having a parent and having two parents of the same gender.

  • @HermieHedgehog

Where exactly in the Constition does it state the right to marry members of the same sex? It isn't illegal to actaully be gay, just to marry them, because that's when it starts having an effect on society.

  • Read the 9th Amendment. There's a whole lot of rights protected that aren't directly listed.

And are you peeking in on them assf***ing? Tell me EXACTLY HOW gays getting married affects other people unless they're putting their noses where they don't belong.

Conservatives need to GET OUT of other people's bedrooms and stop pushing for a controlling government.

  • @HermieHedgehog

"Conservatives want to force women to have unwanted babies, and then deny any form of aid to help that child have a decent life" ? That certainly explains why Obama was against helping a baby after it had surivived an abortion.

  • How is that worse than Conservatives wating to take welfare funds that put food in children's bellies away from them?

  • @HermieHedgehog

Sure, conservatives want to run people's lives. That ceratinly explains why it tis OBAMA who wants to get rid of our Consititional right to bear firearms, and throw this healthcare bill on us, which he STILL hasn't figured out how to pay for yet, (trilllions more of your tax dollars buddy)

  • How about all you Conservatives wanting to take awat Article 4 section 1, Article 6, and Amendments 1, 9, 10, and 14, hypocrite?

Obama will NOT take away our guns. You're paranoid.

  • No he just tries to render them useless by taxing ammo .Nice gov. you believe in there. Try to control behavior through the power tax. You just keep supporting that. Reminds me of a lot of other past and present dictators tactics. This should concern ANYONE, pro-gun or not. Got it.

  • Spying on citizens without warrants reminds me of a dictatorship. Oh, and that was a Conservative that did that.

Remember, I ACTUALLY support the Constitution. I hold the 2nd Amendment just as important as the 14th, unlike Conservatives.

  • @HermieHedgehog Actually, that's not true, and probably one of the most misinformed things about George Bush I've ever read.

George W. Bush was by no stretch of the imagination a conservative. He was a Republican, and a relatively liberal one at that (No Child Left Behind is considered a social welfare policy, which almost any conservative is against). Contrary to leftist belief, there is actually a difference between party affiliation and political views sometimes.

  • @HermieHedgehog George W. Bush is by no stretch of the imagination a conservative. He is a Republican, and a relatively liberal one at that (No Child Left Behind is considered a social welfare program, which any conservative is against). Contrary to leftist belief, party affiliation and actual political views don't always line up.

  • @AndiEmme1

    He was a "RINO."

  • @HermieHedgehog

A conservative was responsible for the patriot act? You need to research the bi-partisan congressional approval of the patriot act and the fact that the idea came from a demoocrat. Congress was taken over by the dems in 2006 and the patriot act has been kept in place even though the new regime took over.

    BTW...

    GW was NO conservative.

  • @HermieHedgehog

Yep, of course, your proving me wrong, that certainly exlains your need to constantly insult me.

  • Conservatives do it all the time, so I'm giving back what they give. Remember the golden rule, or are you selectively ignoring that too?

  • @HermieHedgehog

"Want to impose Christianity on all Americans." Seriously? Why don't you learn something about Christianity before you try to exploit it. You can't force someone into Christianity, the person must make the decision by themselves, and exlpicitly ask Jesus to be their Savior and forgive them from their sin.

We don't try to force any one into it, but we do try to use the guidelines set in the Bible of what is right and wrong. Ex, don't murder, don''t steal,

  • @HermieHedgehog

It affects their children, for one. Tell me that it doesn't affect kid to grow up without a mom or dad.

Sure, yeah, blame the conservatives. But did you know that it was in OBAMA's healthcare bill that you can't smoke, or eat fatty foods if your obese? Yessiree, that definetely sounds like a non controling government. Yessiree, that really sounds like a non controlling government.

  • So are you going to take children away from single parents? No? Hypocrite.

  • If the baby was unwanted maybe she should of thought about that before falling over with her legs in the air. Murders always a nice quick birth control fix. Try railing against irresponsibility for once instead of cheering murder. You might actually learn tolike and respect yourself.

  • Oh, I do like and respect myself. Would I abort my own child? No. Do I have the right to tell another woman what to do in her private life? No.

Conservatives are hypocrites that can't keep their noses out of other peoples' buisness.

  • @HermieHedgehog

"Do I have the right to tell another woman what to do in her private life. No"

If you saw a random woman on the street suffocating her child, would you interfere? Or would you consider that not your responsiblity?

It's not her "private life" when she is ending someone else's.

  • @HermieHedgehog

And liberals promote government slavery with their "social welfare" programs and government subsidies. Conservatives represent freedom, but that freedom does not extend to ending an innocent unborn childs life.

  • @HermieHedgehog

In CA, a majority voted "Yes" on prop 8. California is a blue state, not a red state. So much for your theory it is Conservatives denying gays the right to marry.

  • @HermieHedgehog

Sure, Obama hasn't taken over GM. He just has appointed someone else to, and fired the CEO.

  • @HermieHedgehog

Since when is it the goverments job to intervene when someone is being cheated? It's not. But if you really wanted to help those people, you could join an organization that helps to raise funds for people with certain diseases. There are thousands throughout the US.

CONSEVATIVES are wasting your tax dollars?!? May I remind you, sir, that it is Obama who is throwing trillions of dollars at the economy in an attempt to make it rise.

  • Have you had your head buried in the sand the last 8 years?

At least Obama is attaching strings to taxpayer dollars, unlike foolish, naieve Conservatives like Bush, who just GAVE AWAY OUR TAX DOLLARS, hypocrite.

And oh, look, GM is reopening factories again. Obama's conditions WORKED, and Conservatives are pissed that they aren't getting the credit.

Give it up, I'm proving you wrong every time I post. You're just making yourself look like an idiot.

  • Strings? Is that why he's on his knees begging the bankers for the money back. Those are some pretty weak strings...GM's barely keeping their head above water. Cash for clunkers what a joke, giving away my money and union vote payoffs. Get a clue. Tjhen cash for caulkers Bwahahahaha. Guys a clueless little boy

  • LOL

I'm clueless? From what you've been posting, try looking in a mirror.

  • Proved you wrong again. Conservatism is a mental disorder in which you cannot separate reality from delusion. Please see a doctor immediately.

  • @HermieHedgehog

Conservatives believe that you have the freedom to do what they want, until you start oppressing others. That's when the government steps in.

"Telling women what to do with their bodies"- you mean abortion? The women who do that are killing children, and murder isn't a right.

"Telling people who they can and can't marry"- Studies have shown that gays are 4x more likely to commit suicide.

Spying on Americans? Where did you get that from?

  • 1. Christians are oppressing homosexuals, and the hypocrite Conservatives encourage it.

    2. Until the baby is born, it's a part of the mother. It's their right to do what they will. I believe abortion is a very serious matter and should NOT be an alternative to birth control, but it's not my place to tell women what to do.

    3. Because of intolerant, hateful, ignorant Conservatives that tell them they're evil and going to hell.

    4. The so-called "patriot" act.

  • @HermieHedgehog

It's part of the mother even though it has it's own separate DNA profile? Even though its heart beats separately than it's mothers? It is part of her unless someone kills her and the baby and then they are charged with 2 murders?

  • Oh.. I just proved you wrong. I guess you should change your username now. :)

  • "They basically believe that the goevernment should control people's lives."

Conservatives to the letter. They want to:

-Impose Christianity on all of America

-Decide who you can and can't marry

-Monitor your phone calls and see if you're talking to a terrorist

-Force women to have unwanted babies, then deny any form of aid to help the child have a decent life

Sounds VERY big-government to me, hypocrite.

I'm CONSTANTLY proving you wrong. Go away, idiot.

  • By the way- Socialism is where the government provides everything. Communism is where everybody is equal and there is no private ownership.

Read a book, you might learn something and not sound like a babbling moron.

  • Peter Dough ?????? dough

  • cant believe you're still reading this:D

  • ahhhh The credits were amazing.

  • Oh the inhumanity of it all!

  • partisan toolery fail

  • Ha!!!! Thats one hell of a list :)

  • FDR.

  • @ogirv101

and what exactly did FDR do that was good? (just want to see if you actually know any facts.)

  • @Smullet90:

FDR, firstly led us through WW2, which directly affected our economic upbringing from war (in which I agree war is a good thing with Steven). Secondly, FDR provided a solacing figure, with his fireside chats, he created social welafre programs, new jobs to ease the pain of the great depression. He is the only president to ever be elected more than twice, and with good reason. FDR, well he's the epitome of a great leader.

  • @ogirv101

You are kidding right? The New Del extended the great depression by 7 years! The free market is what brought us out of it. If you think a segregationist is a great leader, so be it. You must have been educated in California's public school system.

  • Wait....he....um.....died?

  • i watch this just to laugh every now and again...and POST 1000!

  • I really dislike Fat Man #1 and Fat Man #2, they are the worst.

  • Search for good conserative reap the same results.

  • Lol. I guess I missed that vid when it came out, funny.

  • Fat man #1 Michael Moore

    Fat man #2 Michael Moore

    A big LOL.

  • CANT-BELIEVE-YOU'RE STILL-READING-THIS----- nice one,steven crowder!!!

  • Does Thomas Jefferson count? He wasn't a democrat and liberalism didn't exist at his time but he did create a lot of the ideas of their party.

Truman was a good Liberal, and I would argue that Johnson did some good things too.

  • Jefferson wasn't a liberal in the modern context (liberal as in to allow a lot of; be liberal with - government - everyone deserves free - cookies; free (-dom) -insert entitlement here-). He was a liberal in the classical sense; (liberal as in liberty; freedom from oppression, freedom of choice, individual liberty) context under which conservatives were considered liberal, and democrats actually started the war to continue slavery.

  • that's what I thought, he wasn't a liberal per sei because liberalism didn't exist.

Good liberal list: Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson the end

    Thanks :)

  • There was nothing liberal about Jefferson, he hated big government.

  • Your common everyday liberal likes to define "liberalism" as "civil rights" (from slave liberation to gay marriage). But their "liberal" leaders opposed the vast majority of civil rights legislation that Republicans actually fought the civil war for. It is a distortion of the word and a distortion of the issue as freedom does not come from the state, the right to marry cannot be infringed - it is only the state's recognition of the marriage...

Talking to a lib is like untangling a wad of knots.

  • Modern-day Democrats don't support or have nostalgia for the Democrats of the Confederacy. They're even critical of aspects of Andrew Jackson, founder of the party which has changed significantly.

The government should recognize all marriages between consenting adults as the national government already bans discrimination in the protection of the law and marriage confers certain legal privileges and protections.

  • Yeah, it's an interesting issue, and one that people of both parties have varying opinions on. I have an unusual one. I'm an atheist and my best friend is gay (I'm also extremely right wing). While my best friend would probably get married if it were legalized, he doesn't see it as a discrimination issue and neither do I. My personal opinion on the issue is that the state screws up everything it touches, including marriage be it gay or straight. I prefer to stay out of the system.

  • The dirty little secret is that leftist's version of "liberalism" comes with the strings of tyranny. Someone must decide what is fair, how many blacks to allow in and how many whites is fair. How much money it is fair for you to have and how much to take, what airports (*caugh MURTHA) to fund and what businesses to nationalize. After they have control of everything they might consider doing things like gay marriage and the other stuff that they say are the cornerstones of "liberalism"

  • Which takes us full circle back to what they really want which is power. It's sad that it really is as simple as that. Almost everything they accuse the right of is actually a staple of the left!

Who is REALLY in bed with big business? (think GE, GM, SEIU, pharma, AMA, AIG, ... ) Who really supports bigotry? ("hate crime" laws, welfare, abortion, affirmative action, the "fairness" doctrine, the war on fox news...)

There are 237 millionaires in Congress. How did they get it?

  • The right wants power too. While they rightly complain about nationalizing business, conservatives generally don't object, or at least they don't work against, subsidizing and giving tax benefits to particular businesses.

There isn't a "war" against Fox News and there's a strong case that that network started the hostility. Hostility is fine, even good, but when it's constant and one-sided it's silly to want the ones who are being criticized to not notice.

  • There are people on all sides who want power. But leftist ideology demands that leaders have more rights than others (someone must make the decisions and who will notice if he pockets a few dollars in the process he thinks). Rightist ideology demands equality the politician has much less control over the people.

If you dislike corporate welfare you should re-examine the situation. I dislike it as much if not more than you do,but Obama has given out more in his short time than anyone in history.

  • You are trying to instill doubt by asserting that right wing politicians can also be corrupt but your premise is a fallacy. It is like asking you if you would rather be robbed by a man with a knife or a man who has a remote activated bomb strapped to your daughter. Neither one is good, but why choose to give your assailant more power over your life?

Just who do you think gives out the farm subsidies every year?

  • An interesting difference between libs and conservatives is that most conservatives can see our own bias. Liberals are under the delusion that they are unbiased. While Fox News is certainly biased, it is the ONLY right wing news source on TV - and it's about time. Every other news channel is slanted to the left. It's like winning a football game and getting angry that your opponent scored one touchdown. This is the words tiniest violin playing just for you.

  • Just think how you'd feel if President Bush were in office and he was advocating a bill that regardless of the way it was worded, let's call it the "fair-er fairness doctrine", would essentially shut down dissent on the left dominated television system, but left the right dominated radio system alone? You'd be outraged. But if it works in reverse, shutting down only YOUR opponent, it's justice - isn't it.

THAT is why we call your leaders fascists. You can't handle the one dissenter in the room.

  • I don't support the "Fairness Doctrine" and while I'm not a liberal, I think some liberals would also oppose it.

  • Well thank you and I hope so. But some of your elected officials are continuing to pursue these types of legislation.

Obama's health care reform is no different. We all agree that we need reform and that we need to help people who have difficulty paying for medical treatment. It is only a tyrant who would propose that a new government monopoly over the insurance system would be the answer. Their bill FORCES you to buy insurance.

Corporate monopolies are child's play by comparison.
