All guns (not just for people without a license) would have to be a bright color to be sold or manufactured in California. I'm pretty sure it's totally stopped now thankfully.

If you live in Canada or the UK if your under 18 or don't have your airsoft license you cant buy black guns, you have to get brightly colored "two-tone" ones.

In the UK, a law was passed called the VCRa. Under that law it is illegal to sell Airsoft guns that are realistically coloured to anyone, unless they can prove that they play Airsoft regularly. If they can't prove that, then the law says that the only way they can buy an airsoft gun is if it is at least 50% brightly coloured.

Quick questions. I just started thinking about getting into this. Wearing that gear and seeing that it looks pretty thick, how does a player figure out if he gets hit? Is the gear lighter then it looks or do the BB's do a shit ton of damage? I'm sure there have been times where somebody got hit and didn't realize it and kept playing until a ref told him he was out. Also when you get hit 3 times your out of the full game or do you respawn (if so how?)

@RenoVeteranTurk In general, you'll feel a BB hit you. If you don't you'll usually hear it.

And one hit from a single BB is a kill. What happens next depends on the length of the game and the rules of the site. For very short games (15 minute warm up games) one hit means your totally out. For longer games (basically anything over 15 minutes), most sites use medic rules where a player can tag in dead players, or respawn points.

Can anyone help im a beginner in airsoft ant have around £300 for a good first rifle and was wondering on your opinion. i was thinking of a G&G RK103 EVO or a G&G GF76 short

@mashman66 G&G Guns are generally pretty good, but there are plenty of other guns out on the market.

Also, the GF76 is missing the three round burst feature of the real steel, i'd suggest waiting for ICS's version if you want a proper replica of an FNC.

My personal advice would be to start off with something simple like an M4. Look at ICS or G&P for a good range of M4s.

MP5 is German, M249 is Belgian, so are most modern M2 Browning's.

Other units are being issued with guns like the FN SCAR or HK416, so it's more than possible that a Ranger could use a German gun.
