As a Pens fan, I'm sad to say I was at this game, but even though the majority of the game sucked, Max had a good scrap. Crosby said in the post game (on the Pens website) that he asked McLean if he wanted to go and McLean said yes, even though it doesn't really look like it from the video. Regardless, the Pens needed to do something to show some heart.

And on a side note, the officiating has seemed really poor in the last few Pens games. Maybe I'm a little biased, but...

A good portion of what you say is bias, because the officiating hasn't been that bad, but I have to admit, there have been a shoddy call here and there.

I was talking about the officiating only during the Pens games as I've seen (or at least I feel like I've seen) many officials overlook a number of hooking, tripping, or interference calls against the opponents of the Penguins each game. I know that the officials cannot make every call, but I feel like they have consistently given the Penguins a rough time. I am not lucky enough to have the NHL Center Ice TV package or anything like that to see if this is a league-wide problem.
