Its definitely fine to drive without assists if you choose to. But even some of the best race cars in the world Such as in Le mans and DTM car have Traction control and ABS.It simply allows you to drive the car harder and faster and the real life Racers recognize that. Why wouldn't you wan't to brake an extra 10 meters later if possilbe. Street cars also have TC and ABS. Not having any assists is actually more unrealistic Its fine to use them in my opinion if the cars use them in real life also.

@iconmanxx Video proof. Also, I have another video of me getting 1:12.3 with the fully tuned Civic. The Veyron only beating it by 4 seconds is still pretty good, and I think I can do even better. It was only the 3rd try. Didn't even try with the Veyron. I've gotten well under a minute with a ferrari 458 though.
