I find in hard to believe that Hulk Hogan would actually think that people would believe that Andre the Giant died shortly after Wrestlemania III. He had acromegaly, a pituitary disease that caused his body to continue growing (his bone structure was pretty messed up because of it - intense back pain, etc.). Basically his body outgrew his heart and that's why his heart failed.

@TheHappynot I think you're pretty close to estimating Andre's weight during WWF. I've read that his peak weight at anytime was 565lbs. His peak height has always been a poplular topic, but from most of the evidence I've seen, I would say 7'0-7'1" peak during the 70's. In the documentary "Larger Than Life", they credit Andre as being "7 feet tall at age 18". During the end of his career, there is no doubt he lost a couple of inches of height from his disease and back surgery.
