They (Vh-1) slaughtered Jan's last name. I believe it's prounounced Keen-a-min. Someone in the crowd said if it wasn't for Vixen, bands like Hole wouldn't be around. I disagree. If it wasn't for the Runaways bands like Vixen, Phamtom Blue, Cycle Sluts from Hell, Hole, and Crucified Barbera wouldn't be around. Just my two cents.

@Mactube21 Things have changed and the gals have other interests..... The "New" Vixen is waaaay different then the orignal group. I doubt the orignals will ever truely regroup as the last regrouping fell apart as problem after problem arose and solutions couldn't be reached resulting in replacements being brought in mid tour. The old Vixen is gone....... Sorry to bear such bad news
@Bear44mc Yes I know the change, change for the worst. They should change their name they are not worthy of the Vixen name. Well if you think about it amongst the members Janet had the biggest life change. If they were to put their differences aside they can easily lasted 10 years. They are a great tour band. My assumption why they gave up is because their second album did not match the debut album. Honestly speaking I always felt the second CD album was better.
@Mactube21 Only reason the name Vixen is being used is do to the law suit. Jan started the band way back so it was "her" band. Big shock for the other 3 huh? Like most of the rock bands peeps came and went before hitting it BIG time.... Vixen time came when the four gals we know and loved (lusted?) was in the band. The reunion tour fell apart and by the end of it -- what we had was the "New Vixen" Some peeps just grow apart personally and professionally-- its unfortunate but true.

They brought in a fifth member briefly and that started a major riff between the girls. Tit for tat and then one day the lawyer papers started flying around so thus the band ended.
Rev it up was their best work in my opinion and I believe that is the second album.

She sounds truly awful, she basically butchered all the songs. Surprisingly Jan did not go solo, she and Lita Ford are quite similar vocal wise.

I found it interesting that no mention was made of Lenita Erickson (sp?), the singer from Winnipeg who replaced Janet in 1992. But then again, the goal was to bring back the original lineup, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

@SHISHUE Yes Vixen and White Lion opened for Ozzy on tour in 1989. I only remember b/c it was my first concert. I was pissed b/c Vixen went on earlier than what my ticket said. I probably missed two songs. It was cool hearing Desperate and Charmed Life live.
You can barely hear her sing, I dont think they had the mikes turned up. It sounds like a small room. VH 1 didnt do a good job setting up the concert.
I was a fan from the begining. When they broke up and a new Vixen formed I knew it wouldnt be the same. It never is without the original members. I still have pictures and my ticket stub from June 89 Woo Hoo

The original band re-uniting for regular touring probably will never happen. They've gone on to other lives......other business interests or careers and have families. That and the sting of former lawsuits over use of the Vixen name probably don't just evaporate. I wish they could resolve it to a point where they could go out on the road for a few weeks in the summer though......would definitely go see them.
The original Line-up. Ummmm...Nothing beats that one. Vixen is not Vixen without all the origanl members. the last good album was prob Tangerine. Love the old Vixen. Oh the 80's.........!!!!!!!!!!

when i heard that they'd split up years ago, i was laughing at the news, then when i finally realised it was true, i was heart broken. Then i saw the line up for 'Tangerine' and i thought "who the fuck are these wenches" I agree completely with your thought about the old line up, they were made for each other.
DamianFurioso, the nearer guy is "Traci Michaels" a fantastic drummer who passed away in 2008. He was a good friend to my former husband, an all around decent guy, and a huge lover of hard rock. Trust me, he was at the right show!
My God they all look great, it's a shame that Janet is cleaning teeth for a living, but that's the way life's goin for her, I love Share's and Roxy's bands, unfortunately I can't say the same for the current Vixen members

I LOVE Vixen! The very first concert I ever went to see was Vixen when they opened for Bad Company in Santa Cruz, CA. I am so upset that I missed this reunion show! If anyone has a copy that they could share, please let me know!!!

the singer is too different and that changed ittoo much. Just like how ACDC became a different band with singing BJohnson after BScott died.
unfortunately, i think Janet is the only member not involved in music at all, the rest are.

Nothing against Jan, but I really loved the late 80s Vixen with Janet and Share, plus NOBODY rocks like Roxy! Sure wish THAT lineup was touring again! I'd even try being a groupie if Roxy looks as good as she did for this reunion!

I know. I want the original band to get back together. The four that are in this video. I've been a fan since the 80's when they first released and album. The vixen that is touring now with just the one original guitarist sucks.
the first line up had great chemistry. they may not look the same,,we've all gotten older. but their chemistry for songs would probably still kick ass.

The original band re-uniting for regular touring probably will never happen. They've gone on to other lives......other business interests or careers and have families. That and the sting of former lawsuits over use of the Vixen name probably don't just evaporate. I wish they could resolve it to a point where they could go out on the road for a few weeks in the summer though......would definitely go see them.

The "New" Vixen isn't even close to the same caliber that this line-up was. I know that Share wouldn't be interested in returning to the band, but Jan should bring Roxy and Janet back! Period!

when i heard that they'd split up years ago, i was laughing at the news, then when i finally realised it was true, i was heart broken. Then i saw the line up for 'Tangerine' and i thought "who the fuck are these wenches" I agree completely with your thought about the old line up, they were made for each other.

DamianFurioso, the nearer guy is "Traci Michaels" a fantastic drummer who passed away in 2008. He was a good friend to my former husband, an all around decent guy, and a huge lover of hard rock. Trust me, he was at the right show!

I LOVE Vixen! The very first concert I ever went to see was Vixen when they opened for Bad Company in Santa Cruz, CA. I am so upset that I missed this reunion show! If anyone has a copy that they could share, please let me know!!!
