Toyota really needs to bring back the Supra (and not change the styling too much, it's perfect as is). Imagine being able to own a NEW one instead of having to shop around for one with low miles (rare feat) and one that hasn't been abused? There's sellers that sell them with 76k-90k miles for $25,000. Shoot, if a new one was available to get through a car loan but with no miles then I would totally take on the debt. Sweet performance sports car!!

@oarih94 The active spoiler was on the turbo versions of the Supra. I have one on mine, but have converted it to manual now, so can drop it whenever I want, rather than at 55 mph.

Not to mention, when the Mk4 was released, it was before the R33 was out, and it still managed to compete against it. Then the mk4 stayed in production while Nissan went ahead and brought out the R34, and STILL UNCHANGED, the mk4 supra is more than a competitor for it. Even to this day, the 20+ year old supra gives supercars a run for their money.

For anybody who still says this is not Top Gear, look at the three green lines that show his name at the beginning and then go find a clip of Clarkson in the old Top Gear. It will show the same name presentation.
Driven quite a few of these, and even found the high powered ones to be heavy and kind of lethargic in the corners. And without a proper brake upgrade, it's kind of a sour drive, and with stock suspension, brake dive is off the charts. Power delivery is excellent, but he's right in saying the 6speed is spongy, if a bit soft as well. Mind you, this is coming from a guy who owns an R32 GTR and an FD3S RX-7, so I might be a bit biased.
Used to own a supra until it got totaled. Worst part is that i didn't even crash it, but rather I parked it in an underground lot at a hotel and woke up only to find out the lot had been flooded...

@hitmanieves What you would love is besides the point. And Top Gear does somewhat review classics and old exotics but the Supra is not in the same league as a Mclaren F1. Although certain fast and furry types think that it is.

@jj22oo Nope, this is old Top Gear. Tiff Needell used to be on it. (Later on Jeremy Clarkson left Top Gear in 1998, and in 2001 him and Andy Wilman created the new Top Gear format, then May joined in season 2 of the new Top Gear, and after that Tiff went onto fifth gear.)

this compared to an american competitor like the camaro or trans am well imma take one of them but i still like the supra a very good handling car and the hp aint too bad either, id just cut what the hell is on the front the fuck off! what the hell are those? headlight wipers? think your a volvo or something come on!

@robben896 I think it was. The figures here are probably pre-production. I know the JDM model was limited to 112 mph or 180 kph as all JDM spec cars are.
