I have a playlist I created from 6 clips of an East German Stasi documentary. In clip 1 at about 45 seconds from the beginning you can hear the exact same voice but she gives the code: 52716-69883-406-128-00000
From what I remember from my time in army, we would use "fuennef" (instead of "fuenf" (=five)) etc in the west-german army (post-GDR), too. They would be used to make transmissions less vulnerable to atmospheric interference, which renders especially combinations of consonants quite indistinguishable. So, generally, that is the same idea as calling "delta 4" instead of "d4", as we would also do.
So this station is still there after the end of eastern Germany and the retreat of the Russians. So this obviosly is being operated by west Germanys BND, which is the GESTAPO under a new name. Who may they be targeting if they are also speaking english?
My brother Markus Bott had been tortured during five and a half years by the BND and was assassinated on july 11th 2009 in Karlsruhe. Just because of our homepage, link on my channel, and our book Der Totalitäre Staat.
@wwwtotalitaerde these stations are being operated by nations all over the world... The US has stations that have have been traced by RF direction finding to locations on US soil. The Cubans regularly broadcast these as well. The British have a station that is believed to be operating from Cyprus. The Israelis, Chinese and Russians are known to have these stations too... It's an international mystery.
@hazereyes1 "She"(the machine) is reading numbers that can be deciphered using a one time pad (OTP). It's an undecipherable code that uses books of numbers to decode the transmission. The "spy" receiving the message only needs their OTP and a shortwave radio. The OTPs can sometimes be chewed like gum or they dissolve in water. This has been going on continuously since the Cold War.
This is an old one. I was in West Germany in the mid to late 80s. I (or anyone with a radio) could even hear this one with a regular radio on commercial AM freqs. IIRC, it was East German.
The funny stuff was the propaganda stations that had E.German and Soviets that tried to speak English with US accents, "Yeah, man, I can't wait to get drunk and meet to my girlsfriend." Their incorrect slang gave them away every time.

which hardware did you use to receive this transmission?

Just the radio you see (Degen DE1103) plus the random wire antenna it was supplied with.

Besides being intriguing, these stations are seriously creepy! I played the Conet Project for friends at Halloween, and everyone was freaking out.
