@Guercinator Notice how the very beginning riff of this song is the same bit used for the transition at 1:50 in the song Beach Side Property also by Modest Mouse. This song was recorded sometime in 1996 while Beach Side Property was recorded late 1995/early 1996. Just thought you could put that into the info box :)
This song is amazing. For people that don't get this art, screw it, the world is fucked and people will continue to listen to the same shitty mainstream mundaneness. People are controlled by outside influences on what to like anyway, I'll continue to listen to the mystique of Modest Mouse until death, there will never be another band like them to reach their depths of lyrical and musical beauty.
@BadassBellyDancer I totally agree with you, but In A way I'm kind of glad that this is not popular because wouldn't it be annoying if everyone suddenly started liking this album, song, or Modest Mouse in general and acted like you've never heard of Modest Mouse even though you knew it before every one else. So every one out there can stick to licking Jay-Z, Eminem, Bruno Marz, whatever. More good, real music for us!
@Guercinator As much as I like your comment and agree with it. I have a different view on it, if everyone suddenly started to like Modest Mouse we would have a different fucking world in a sense. No one would be bitching about shit. Shit would kinda flow. You know what I mean? Its kinda like a Modest Mouse mentality, and all of us that listen to them have it. Its a lax style of life I believe. They kinda opened up my senses to life and made me start really making my on opinions on shit. Who know
@Guercinator you my friend are smart. ive been saying the same thing for such a long time. BadassBellyDancer just look at modest mouse now, they have like 8 people and they are different. i mean i still like them but theyre nothing like this. Good news for people who love bad news killed the band when it became popular and became more of a commercial band. I find it extremely sad so I absolutely crave their old music like this. Anyone see where i'm coming from?
@sk8nsnow14 modest mouse is still always going to be modest mouse, bands grow and change, if you aren't willing to other people i'm sure are. Sure i like their older stuff better, doesnt mean i dont listen to their newer albums.
@Guercinator i totally agree with that, a soon as everyone starts listening to somthing it gets old, i know it sounds like a hipster thing to say but its true
@Guercinator I think the world would be a better place if more people appreciated the brilliance of MM. It might actually decrease the douchebag poulation... which would be fine by me. Plus, maybe we can get a "Modest Mouse feat. Jay-Z" track lol JK. (dislike if that idea makes you want to puke.)
@Guercinator It's not about who liked Modest Mouse longer or who liked them first. Imagine how great the world would be if Modest Mouse had a strangle hold on the music industry the way that the Beatles did back in the day. The world would be a better place if Issac Brock were preaching to the masses instead of Jay-z. Saying if people started liking Modest Mouse and "even though you knew it before everyone else" is treading the fine line of sounding like a hipster be careful.

@Guercinator lol I just realized I wrote "licking" instead of "liking". I don't think anyone likes new artists THAT much...
