I think it's a V6, 4 cyl only has 6000 redline, on the other hand 7000 redline only for V6. One of my friend has V6, it's damn good fast in standard form

for sure 148hp fe3n do 0-100 in 7.8,my own -90 140hp kat version do it also in 7.8secs,just k&n drop in fiter is my mod.Top speed isnt so high,maybe ab.210 but it has 310000kms on it. And 320i accelerates worse.

Mazda 626 Mark 3 {in EUrope marked as GD } has 2.0L engine with 4 different performance. 1st with 90hp, 2nd with 107hp, 3rd with 140hp and 4th with 148hp. so you'v'got the bestone. PS: but the dashboard looks almost same as on my 626 GE. Peace

I had an 2.0L 626 GLX CC, back in '92. I too reached 230 Km/h on the speedometer (3 persons in the car). Only "problem" was, that the spedometer was approx 10% off. So that tranlates into some 205 Km/h. IRL. Properly the case with your car aswell :)

I know i was being bad to my car, it's actually agreat car. But I dont want to mod it because I wanna keep it like it is- a very comfortable and easy to drive commuter, and gives me when i drive it right like 36mpg. I did actually put lightweight wheels on it,and because the tires are wider it handles a lot better, but the steering is less precise, and the ride now a bit harsher.
