I know the first documentary title sounds ridiculous, but it has a lot of prominent scientists who disagree with the media hysteria. Also, check out the youtube video with Ron Paul on the Bill Maher show via satellite. In one of the questions, Ron Paul expresses his own skepticism about global warming by making an example of volcanoes. He does this even though it is against popular belief.

Global Warming has become another form of religion. Most people disagree with me but have done no research on the subject. Why do I have to be attacked for having a different opinion when I've actually done the research? Most people who have done the research understand that the jury's still out on the issue. Just half a century ago, people were warned of global cooling. Now, we have global warming. Anyone see a pattern here?
There seem to be several patterns, but I think at this point we could say that we at least influence it some, and that related issues like pollution are also important.
Suggestion for possible middle ground:
Regardless of the exact truth of our effect on global warming, is it something you want to be wrong about? If we curb our influence while doing more long-term research, we don't have to pay with disaster if we are wrong. Sort of like financial risk/reward. Maybe?
We can't get rid of global warming by restricting individuals of CO2 emissions based on oversimplified explanations from the IPPC and the media. Then, logistically speaking, we would have to get rid of volcanoes, trees, and oceans (all individually much greater CO2 emitters than all of human civilization combined). Most people believe in man-made global warming without question. Whether global warming is a problem or not, for me, a brainwashed generation of people is a scarier issue.
Trees are actually o2 emitters ;) Photosynthesis eats C02. So ocean algea does also, although I'm not familiar enough with percentage of that to confirm or deny your claim that the ocean is a net emitter.
I think again one way to temper it would be to continue research while trying to be more efficient and less impactful. It's not going to harm anyone, and it may be good both for environment and research and collaboration for people.

The IPCC admits its computer modeling is not scientifically sound. It only produces "what if" scenarios in its report. Scientists from all over the world submit factual findings. The IPCC's, staffs most of which are not scientists, cherry pick the reports to center its findings around the alarmist "man-made" theory. Regardless of weather the majority of the true reports reflect the same conclusion.
Here in Oregon our legislators saw fit to enact laws force industry to pay an offset business for percentage of C02 emissions; low-income housing will comply with green building requirements; and non-profits are screaming for preservation of "special places" . This includes new developments, farm and ranch lands. Primarly voting for further zoning restrictions. Oregon already has extermely strick zoning laws.
Ooops, strict not strick zoning. Deceit, panic and fraud based on a political agenda. It not only plunders billions but also is economically damaging. The worst part is what it does to legitimate Environmental concerns. Now that the UN's IPCC, news media and non-profits have wielded scare tactics as a means to defraud the public... I see nothing but harm. Oh, you may want to read up on the UN's Agenda 21.
I agree that global warming is not something one could afford to be wrong about. But, at the same time, most warnings and predictions look into several decades into the future. That's why I brought up global cooling, a major scare that happened merely half a century ago and yet people have already forgotten about it. Whatever environmental view, we have to accept that global warming science is something represented by politicians, not scientists.
I think there are other more scarier things that people are being brainwashed with, like war-hawking and fundamentalism, but yes, I don't think it is a good idea for people to get everything so spoon fed to them either.
Also, back to the counterpoint, science is a long way from where it was 50 years ago. Hardly perfect, but a lot more accurate tracing back data points.

We can't get rid of global warming by restricting individuals of CO2 emissions based on oversimplified explanations from the IPPC and the media. Then, logistically speaking, we would have to get rid of volcanoes, trees, and oceans (all individually much greater CO2 emitters than all of human civilization combined). Most people believe in man-made global warming without question. Whether global warming is a problem or not, for me, a brainwashed generation of people is a scarier issue.

Trees are actually o2 emitters ;) Photosynthesis eats C02. So ocean algea does also, although I'm not familiar enough with percentage of that to confirm or deny your claim that the ocean is a net emitter.
I think again one way to temper it would be to continue research while trying to be more efficient and less impactful. It's not going to harm anyone, and it may be good both for environment and research and collaboration for people.

The IPCC admits its computer modeling is not scientifically sound. It only produces "what if" scenarios in its report. Scientists from all over the world submit factual findings. The IPCC's, staffs most of which are not scientists, cherry pick the reports to center its findings around the alarmist "man-made" theory. Regardless of weather the majority of the true reports reflect the same conclusion.

Here in Oregon our legislators saw fit to enact laws force industry to pay an offset business for percentage of C02 emissions; low-income housing will comply with green building requirements; and non-profits are screaming for preservation of "special places" . This includes new developments, farm and ranch lands. Primarly voting for further zoning restrictions. Oregon already has extermely strick zoning laws.

I agree that global warming is not something one could afford to be wrong about. But, at the same time, most warnings and predictions look into several decades into the future. That's why I brought up global cooling, a major scare that happened merely half a century ago and yet people have already forgotten about it. Whatever environmental view, we have to accept that global warming science is something represented by politicians, not scientists.

I think he has a real shot of winning the nomination. I haven't checked the odds that the sports books are laying on him lately, but I am sure they're still plummeting.
It is quite bizarre that he still isn't getting any new coverage, but he is exploding thanks to the internet. I am sure that if he is not elected internet regulations will be pushed through Congress before 2012 so that this can never happen again.

While I'd hate to see Roe overturned, the issue of foreign military intervention outweighs pretty much everything else, IMO.
